Indication and area of use: Ardo Care Compresses provide breastfeeding mothers with natural care and support for the treatment of sore, irritated or painful nipples. The gel on the non-woven fabric compress supports the natural regeneration of the skin. It moisturises the skin and is pleasantly cool, calming the skin and making it soft and smooth.
Dosage and application
- Thoroughly wash your hands with soap and water.
- Place an Ardo Care Compress with the gel side on the nipple. Place a normal nursing pad over the top of the compress.
- Leave the compress on the nipple until next time you breastfeed. The residue of the gel on the breast does not need to be wiped off before breastfeeding, it is harmless for baby.
- After breastfeeding, apply a new breast compress. (The breast compresses may only be used once for hygienic reasons.)
- Apply breast compresses between each breastfeeding, at least 2x a day.
Type of administration: For local application on the nipples.
Precautions: There are no precautionary measures needed.
Side effects: There are no known side effects.
Interactions: There are no reported cases of interactions.
Contraindications: Do not apply with known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients listed.
Note for users: According to Regulation (EU) 2017/745 on medical devices, any serious incidents that occur in connection with the product must be reported to the manufacturer and the competent authorities of the Member State in which the user resides.
Dosage form and content: 12 soft and protective compresses with gel applied to one side, packaged in 12 practical and hygienic single sachets. The back of the compresses is coated which prevents staining of clothing.
Properties and pharmaceutical form: Odourless, colourless gel with a natural basis, applied to a round non-woven fabric compress that is coated on one side. The round shape ensures the best fit. The compresses are packaged for single use and do not contain any medically active ingredients. Vegan.
Storage and shelf life: Ardo Care Compresses should be stored at + 5 °C to + 30 ⁰C and must be protected against light. The expiry date is printed on the sachet and the packaging. Ardo Care Compresses must not be used after the expiry date.
