INSTALLATION
- Visit https://www.noregon.com/adapter-drivers/ to download the latest DLA+ 3.0 adapter drivers.
- After downloading the adapter drivers, double-click the DLA332 setup.exe file to begin the installation. Follow the on-screen prompts to install the latest adapter drivers.
- After downloading Truck Check Up, double-click the TruckCheckUpSetup.exe file to begin installation.
- The End-User License Agreement window displays. Select “I agree to the license terms and conditions” and select Install.
- In the Installation Welcome window, click Next.
- The Destination Folder window displays. The installation program automatically chooses to install the Truck Check Up Application software at C:\Program Files (x86)\Noregon\TruckCheckUp. You may choose another location by clicking the Change button, navigating to the desired location, and clicking OK.
- Click Next again to display the confirmation window then select the Install button to start copying files to the computer.
- A progress indicator will display while Truck Check Up is installed on your PC.
- When installation is complete, the Completed Truck Check Up Setup window will be displayed. Select View the readme file if you wish to view the readme when the installation is complete. Click Finish to finalize the Truck Check Up installation.
- A screen will be displayed to indicate that the installation has been completed successfully. Click Close to complete the Truck Check Up installation.
REGISTRATION
Truck Check Up requires registration before the application may be used. Upon initial launch, you will be prompted to register the product (See Figure Below). You will need to provide your contact information, the License Key that you received from Noregon Systems via email, as well as the tester information of a certified CARB tester.
Additional CARB testers may be registerd with Truck Check Up using the CARB Tester Management screen.
Registration Screen
The information will be sent to Noregon’s licensing servers over the internet to register the product. Internet connectivity is required for automatic registration. If registration is successful, you will see the dialog below.
If a connection to the internet is unavailable, Truck Check Up cannot be activated. Either take the PC/Laptop to a location where the internet is available or provide a network connection to the PC/Laptop at its current location.

If your company or business employs a proxy server to protect its internal network, then you may need to configure your proxy settings. Press the Proxy Settings button on the form and fill out the proxy settings. An example is shown below.
NOTE: Current subscription support is required to be eligible for Truck Check-Up product updates.
SETTING UP PREFERENCES
Preferences Wizard
After initial registration Truck Check Up will display the Preferences Wizard to help with your application setup. The Preferences Wizard may be accessed at any time by selecting the Application Settings – Preferences Wizard toolbar option.

- The Connection Settings screen is displayed. If you are using a USB connection to the adapter, select “Yes (Auto-Connect”) on this screen. Otherwise, select “No (Advanced Settings)” and select the desired Device option.
- Select Finish to save your newly configured application settings.
Changing Preference Settings
At any time, you may choose to re-run the Preferences Wizard via the Application Settings – Preferences Wizard toolbar option.
You may also quickly access a single setting via the Application Settings – Preferences toolbar option which displays the Preferences Settings window in a simple tabbed dialog.
CARB TESTER MANAGEMENT
Users of Truck Check Up must be CARB-certified testers who register and create an application password. Once registered, a CARB tester may perform electronic Clean Truck Check inspections on any registered installation of Truck Check Up.
All passwords must contain at least:
- 1 lowercase character
- 1 uppercase character
- 1 digit
- 1 special character #?!@$%^&*-
Update Password
Existing Truck Check-Up users may update their passwords by entering their tester email, current password, and a new password. Select Update Password after entering all required information.
NOTE: For assistance with a forgotten password, please contact Noregon support at 844-259-7484.
Register New CARB Tester
To register a new certified CARB tester, enter the required information. The Tester Email should be the same email address used to register with CARB. The Tester Id is assigned by CARB after successful tester certification. Select Update Password after entering all required information.
PERFORMING ELECTRONIC CLEAN TRUCK CHECK INSPECTIONS
To perform an electronic Clean Truck Check inspection the Noregon DLA+ 3.0 adapter must be connected to the PC and the vehicle to be inspected. The vehicle engine must be keyed on and running for the duration of the inspection.
NOTE: Vehicles model year 2012 or older are not eligible for electronic CARB Clean Truck Check inspections. A certified CARB tester must fill out and submit a Vehicle Emissions Control Equipment Inspection Form.

Enter the required tester and vehicle information (fields with red text) to enable the Connect button on the main toolbar. Optional comments may also be entered.
- NOTE: All tester and vehicle information must be entered every time; this information is not maintained between inspections.

Select the F8 key or the Connect button on the main toolbar to begin the electronic Clean Truck Check inspection.
- NOTE: The vehicle engine must be keyed on and running to perform an inspection.

The application will try to connect to the vehicle data bus using all available protocols.

A progress bar in the lower left status bar will display the connection progress.

The application will display the status of gathering the vehicle’s information process in the top display panel. ECUs detected on the vehicle and basic vehicle information will also be displayed.
NOTE: In the event of Idle Shutdown, press the accelerator to keep the engine running. The engine must run for the duration of the inspection. -
After all required data has been read from the vehicle, it will be submitted electronically to CARB.
A continuous internet connection is required for the duration of the inspection. -
A message is displayed when the inspection submission has been completed successfully. Select OK to dismiss this message and return to the main application screen

Inspection results are emailed from CARB to the tester’s email provided with the inspection.
Accidental Disconnection from the Data Bus
If the adapter becomes disconnected from the vehicle for more than 10 seconds, the No Data Detected Dialog will be displayed. (See Figure Below) This dialog allows the user to retry the connection. The user may also click Cancel to return to the main application screen.
OTHER MAIN TOOLBAR OPTIONS
Exit
Select the F4 key or the Exit button to end your session and quit the application.

About Truck Check-Up
Select the About Truck Check-Up button to view information about the application version, component versions, and web links. Click System Info for detailed information about your PC configuration that may be needed for technical support personnel.
Support – Submit Issue
Selecting the Submit Issue button will open an internet browser to the Truck Check Up Support web page. From this site, you can either check on the status of an open issue or request support by opening a new issue.
Support – Enable Remote Login
This option is to be used at the direction of Noregon support to help resolve open issues.
Contact Sale
Selecting the Contact Sales button will open an internet browser where you may purchase additional adapters, and cables or renew your subscription. A current subscription is required to be eligible for future updates to the Truck Check- Up product.
