General Safety Instructions

PLEASE, TAKE TIME TO READ WELL THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE PARTICULARLY BEFORE THE FIRST USE.

A misuse of the appliance can damage it or hurt the user. Assure that you use the appliance for the use for which it is designed; we refuse any responsibilities as for the damages by an incorrect use or a bad manipulation.

  1. Check that your mains voltage corresponds to that stated on the appliance.

  2. The safety instructions do not by themselves eliminate any danger completely and proper accident prevention measures must always be used.

  3. Never leave the appliance unsupervised when in use.

  4. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard(*).

  5. Only use the appliance for domestic purposes and in the way indicated in these instructions.

  6. Never immerse the base of your appliance in water or any other liquid for any reason whatsoever. Never place it into the dishwasher.

  7. Never use the appliance near hot surfaces.

  8. Before cleaning, always unplug the appliance from the power supply.
    Never use the appliance outside and always place it in a dry environment.

  9. Never use accessories that are not recommended by the producer. They could constitute a danger to the user and risk to damage the appliance.

  10. Never move the appliance by pulling the cord. Make sure the cord cannot get caught in any way. Do not wind the cord around the appliance and do not bend it.

  11. Stand the appliance on a table or flat surface.

  12. Unplug the appliance when not in use.

  13. This kind of appliance cannot function continuously, it is not a professional type of appliance. It is necessary to make temporary stops.

  14. Do not use the appliance if the rotating sieve is damaged.

  15. It is absolutely necessary to keep this appliance clean at all times as it comes into direct contact with food.

  16. Always disconnect the appliance from the supply if it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling or cleaning.

  17. Never touch the movable part with your hands in order not to get hurt. Do not force the mechanism by squeezing the fruits you are pressing too much.

  18. The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of external timer or separate remote control system.

  19. Keep this manual with the appliance. If the appliance is to be used by a third party, this instruction manual must be supplied with it.
    This appliance shall not be used by children. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.

  20. Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.

  21. Children shall not play with the appliance.

  23. This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:

    • staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments
    • farm houses
    • by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments
    • bed and breakfast type environments
  24. This unit is equipped with a safety device, which prevents the extractor from running if the release button is not put in the right position.

  25.  Regarding the instructions for cleaning surfaces in contact with food or oil thanks to refer to the below paragraph “cleaning” in manual.

  26. Regarding the instructions for the use of accessories, operation times and speed settings, thanks to refer to the below paragraphs.

  27. Switch off the appliance and disconnect from supply before changing accessories or approaching parts that move in use.
    Do not use the appliance is the rotating sieve or the protecting cover is damaged or has visible cracks.

  28. Accessories, other than those supplier with the appliance, include instructions for their safe use.

  29. Care shall be taken when handling the sharp cutting blades, emptying the bowl and during cleaning.

  30. Never feed food by other object except pusher.

DESCRIPTION

Before first use:
Remove all plastic and packaging

Clean all parts of appliance thoroughly before first use except the motor base. Rinse and dry.

Assembling / Disassembling:

  1. Attach the feeding chute to the base:

    • Insert the feeding chute in the locking slot by aligning the lock pictogram and the arrow.
    • At the same time, press the button (on the appliance, next to locking slot) and rotate the feeding chute anticlockwise until it « clicks » into the locked position.
  2. Insert the juicing screw in the feeding chute. Push it until it fits into the locking slot.

  3. Align the juice strainer with the juicing screw and push it through towards the locking slot.

  4. Attach the pulp extractor to the feeding chute :

    • Align the pulp extractor with the juicing screw, juice strainer and feeding chute.
    • Rotate the pulp extractor counter clockwise to align the ”    “symbol on the feeding chute with the ”   “symbol on the pulp extractor.
  5. Place the juice cup below the juice tap.

  6. Place the juice cup under the pulp extractor, as close to the juice cup as possible.

  7. Put the top cover on the feeding chute.

IMPORTANT: If the Juice bowl is not correctly assembled, the Juicer will not operate. This is a safety
feature.

USE

This Slow Juicer is suitable for celery, spinach, carrots, apples, bananas, tomatoes, cucumbers, balsam pear, all need the juice of fruits and vegetables. It is not suitable for the fruits and vegetables which contain starch. Also be noted not to use this juicer to squeeze sugarcane.

  1. Clean your fruits and vegetables thoroughly, ready for juicing.

  2. Turn the control switch to “On” to juice fruits/vegetables.

  3. Press the food pusher slowly down until all fruits or vegetables have gone through the juicer
    CAUTION: do not put your hand or any other object in the food chute during operation.

  4. The juice from the fruit and/or vegetables will flow directly into the juice cup and the pulp will be collected in the pulp cup.

  5. When juicing is complete, ensure that the juicer’s control switch is set to the OFF position, the power is turned off.

  6. Unplug the juicer. It is now safe to disassemble the unit.

  7. Disassemble your juicer in the following order, remove :

    • The food pusher
    • The top cover
    • The pulp extractor
    • The squeezing screw and filter
    • The juice cup

Do not operate the appliance longer than 30 minutes. After the operation is performed, stop for 15 minutes.

TIPS FOR JUICING
  • If juicing fruit with stones or hard seeds, pit the fruit.

  • Remove any hard inedible skins, i.e. skin of melons, pineapples and mangoes prior to juicing.

  • If citrus fruits are being used, remove the skin prior to juicing.

  • If using fibrous vegetables such as celery, cut into smaller pieces.

  • When you use fruits/vegetables with firm flesh or hard (carrots, apples, etc), cut them in small pieces.

  • If pieces of fruit or vegetables are very large, chop them to a size that will fit down the juicer’s feeding chute.

  • Do not insert ice or frozen fruit Put food into feeding tube.

  • Insert food at a regular speed, allowing all the pulp to extract. For maximum efficiency, do not rush.

  • Juice nuts only with other foods such as soaked soybeans.

  • The juice from fresh fruit and vegetables is high in nutritional content.

  • When selecting fruit and vegetables for juicing, always select fresh and well ripened specimens.
    They carry more flavor and juice

  • Juice is best consumed when freshly made as this is when its vitamin and mineral content is highest.

  • Bananas can be difficult to juice, if using banana add it as the first or second ingredient, the nectar of the banana will flow through into the juice created from the other fruits.

CLEANING AND STORAGE

  • Unplug the appliance before washing it.

  • Disassemble the appliance.

  • Do not use wire brush or any abrasive items or liquids

  • Filter, juicer cup, pulp cup, pusher and feeding chute are dishwasher safe.

  • Wipe the motor base with damp cloth
