Operation & Indicator Guide
Please fully charge the Li-ion battery at least 8 hours before first use and put the battery in the instrument.
Turn ON the laser tool
Method 1 – Self-leveling Mode
- Slide the pendulum to the unlocked position to turn ON the laser, the self-levelling mode is activated by default.
- The laser tool beeps and the beams blink fast when the laser is out of self-leveling range (±4° ).
Method 2 – Manual Mode
- In self-leveling mode, press and hold “OD” for at least 2 seconds to turn on manual mode, which is active by default.
- Under manual mode, the user can position the laser tool at various angles.
- Please notice the laser beam projected in manual mode cannot be used as a horizontal or vertical reference in nature.
Method 3 – Pulse Mode
- Long press “V” to enter pulse mode when self-leveling. Under pulse mode, the user can use a pulse receiver (not included) for a horizontal level in a long distance.
- When the user turns on pulse mode, the laser tool can connect the pulse receiver with a frequency of 1 kHz or more, pulse receiving distance is 40- 80m/130-262ft.
Turn OFF the laser tool
- Method 1 – When the tool is in Self-leveling Mode
- Slide the pendulum to the locked position to turn OFF the laser tool. * All indicators will light OFF when the laser tool is turned OFF.
Operation Mode Instruction
- Click “V” to add the vertical line; Long press “V” (2 – 3 seconds) to enter pulse mode.
- Click “H” to add the horizontal line; Long press “H” (2 – 3 seconds) to enter flash mode.
- Click “OD” to adjust light brightness and thickness; Long press “OD” (2 – 3 seconds) to enter manual mode.

Check Leveling Accuracy
Check the accuracy of your laser tool regularly, particularly before important measuring tasks.
Checking the accuracy of the horizontal line:
- Place the pendulum to the “Unlocked” ON position. Position the laser tool as close as possible to the wall A.
- Direct the laser tool at the wall B and activate a horizontal line.
- Mark the horizontal line at wall A (->A1) and mark the line at wall B (->B1).
- Rotate the laser tool by 180° and position the tool as close as possible to wall B.
- Direct the laser tool at wall A while ensuring the horizontal line overlaps mark B1, then mark the line at wall A (->A2).
- Calculate the maximum allowable deviation: dmax=measuring distance x 2 x 0.2mm/m.
- E.g. if the measuring distance is 5m, the dmax=2 x 5m x 0.2mm/m = 2mm. Thus, the difference between points A1 and A2 must not exceed 2mm (max.)
Checking the accuracy of the vertical line
- Place the pendulum to the “Unlocked” ON position. Position the laser tool as close as possible to the wall A
- Direct the laser tool at the wall B and activate a vertical line.
- Mark the vertical line at wall A (->A1) and mark the vertical line at wall B (->B1).
- Rotate the laser tool by 180° and position the tool as close as possible to wall B.
- Direct the laser tool at wall A while ensuring the vertical line overlaps mark B1, then mark the line at wall A (->A2).
- Calculate the maximum allowable deviation: dmax=measuring distance x 2 x 0.2mm/m.
- For if the measuring distance is 5m, the dmax=2 x 5m x 0.2mm/m= 2mm.
- Thus, the difference between points A1 and A2 must not exceed 2mm (max.)
