Product Information

The Richmond Water Heaters are available in both indoor and outdoor models. They have a gas input rate ranging from 11,000 BTU/h to 199,900 BTU/h. The water heaters have a uniform energy factor (UEF) of 0.82 and a maximum gallons per minute (GPM) flow rate of 9.5. They are equipped with built-in LeakGuardTM technology and meet the Ultra Low NOx requirements.
The water heaters have a heat exchanger made of copper and provide freeze protection. They come with a warranty of 15 years for the heat exchanger, 5 years for parts, and 1 year for labor. The dimensions of the water heaters vary depending on the model.

Product Usage Instructions

Installation:

1. Choose the appropriate Richmond Water Heater model based on your needs.
2. Ensure that you have the necessary clearances for installation (refer to the manual for specific clearances).
3. If installing an indoor model, connect the water heater to a gas supply using a 3/4 NPT gas connection.
4. If installing an outdoor model, ensure proper ventilation using UL-approved Category III Stainless Steel vent materials or water heater manufacturer-approved vent material.
5. Mount the water heater using the included hanging bracket.
6. Connect the hot water and cold water pipes to the water heater using 3/4 NPT connections.
7. Connect the power supply to the water heater (120V 60Hz).

Usage:

1. Set the desired temperature using the controls on the water heater or the included external remote.
2. The water heater will start heating when there is a minimum activation flow of 0.4 GPM.
3. For continuous hot water supply, ensure a minimum continuous flow of 0.26 GPM.
4. If needed, the high-temperature upgrade is available (refer to the manual for instructions).
5. Monitor the built-in digital display for temperature and other information.

Maintenance:

1. Regularly check for any leaks or malfunctions.
2. Keep the area around the water heater clear for easy access and servicing.
3. Follow the recommended venting and clearance guidelines for safe operation.
4. If any issues arise, refer to the troubleshooting section in the manual or contact customer support.

Based on simultaneous showers using 2.5 GPM flow rate pre-mixed with cold water line. Flow rates vary depending on temperature of incoming cold water and water heater set temperature.
