OPERATION

  1. Plug the appliance into an earthed wall socket.

  2. Remove the basket from the air fryer with extreme care.

  3. Place the ingredients on the rack in the basket of the fryer.

  4. Put the basket back in the air fryer.
Note: do not touch the basket or the fryer for a short period after use, as it will be very hot. Only hold the handle to move the fryer.

  5. Set the corresponding temperature and time on the control panel for the ingredients you wish to cook.

  6. If the product is started to cook in a cold state, the cooking time should be increased by 3 minutes.
Note: if you prefer, you can preheat the product without adding the ingredients. The preheating time is approximately 3 minutes, and you select the desired temperature manually.

  7. Some ingredients need to be turned halfway through the cooking process. To turn the ingredients, hold the handle and remove the basket from the fryer, place it on a flat, heat-resistant surface, and stir the ingredients with a wooden or silicone utensil.
Note: never use metal utensils as these can scratch the racket protection.

  8. Add water to the water tank without exceeding the MAX indicator line. To add water during the process, press and hold the icon and the water will spray out of the diffuser into the air chamber. Some default programs come with an automatic water spraying function. This spraying is performed only once when the set time is completed. Check the timetable for these times. 9. Check if the ingredients are cooked as desired. If the ingredients still need to be cooked further, place the basket back into the fryer and set the set time for a few more minutes.

  10. If you wish to switch the light on or off, press the light icon The device will switch the light on at the beginning of every cooking cycle and 3 minutes before the end of cooking.

  11. To remove the cooked food, remove the basket and with the help of wooden or silicone tongs remove the food.

Note:
be careful when removing the basket as the food is very hot and can generate steam. Never pour food directly from the basket into the dish as this can be dangerous and residual water and oil may drip into the dish.

Time chart
The following table will help you choose the basic settings for the ingredients you want to cook.

cecotec-Cecofry-Neon-5000-Air-Fryer-Fig-3 cecotec-Cecofry-Neon-5000-Air-Fryer-Fig-4

Note:
Remember that these settings are for reference only. Given the different ong1n, size, shape, and brand, we cannot guarantee the best configuration for your ingredients.

The device has one more program, marked with the icon DIY. With this program you can manually select time and temperature and whether or not you want manual water spraying.

Note:
All pre-set programs are configurable in time and temperature to make the combinations you want most.

Tips

  • Smaller ingredients require a shorter preparation time than larger ones.
  • When the number of ingredients is large, you only need to increase the cooking time slightly; while when the number of ingredients is smaller, you only need to shorten the cooking time.
  • During the cooking process, turning smaller ingredients midway through the process improves the final cooking effect and can help to fry the ingredients evenly.
  • Add a little oil to the fresh potatoes to make them crispier.
  • Do not cook very oily ingredients.
  • For best results, it is best to use only the base of the basket, as too many layers of food can adversely affect the results.

Water spraying

  • To activate or not the spraying function, select a specific program that has this function. Then, press the spraying function icon if you want it to spray water automatically following the intervals explained above. If you do not want to spray water automatically, do not press this icon. You can spray water at any time during operation by pressing this icon . The icon that indicates whether the operation is active or not is the following.
  • During the warning that the tank has run out of water, the indicator icon , located near the time and temperature indicators, will flash. The process will stop. Refill the tank with water and press the spraying icon for several seconds to put the water back into the pump.

Then press the Start/Pause/Cancel icon to resume the process. The spraying intervals cannot be modified.

How to cook natural crispy potatoes

  • For optimal results, it is recommended to use pre-cooked fries (such as frozen fries).
  • If you want to make your fries, follow these steps:
  • Peel the potatoes and cut them into small strips.
  • Soak the strips in a bowl for at least 30 minutes, then remove and drain on kitchen paper.
  • Pour a tablespoon of oil into the bowl and stir well until all the strips are evenly greased.
  • Remove the fries from the bowl with your hands or utensils and leave the excess oil in the bowl. Then pour the potatoes into the frying basket.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Before cleaning the air fryer, turn off the power.
Note: Remove the air fryer and let it cool down faster.

  • The fryer and basket are coated with a non-stick coating. Do not clean with metal cookware or abrasive cleaning materials, as this may break the non-stick coating of the fryer.

  • Wash the fryer and basket with hot water detergent and non-abrasive sponges.

  • Clean the inside of the appliance with hot water and a non-abrasive sponge.

  • Wipe the heating element with a damp cleaning cloth to remove any food residue.

  • After cleaning, allow the product to dry in a cool, dry place.
