  • 1 pc. headlight insert

Installation of the headlight insert:

  1. Disconnect the battery before fitting. Make sure that your vehicle is standing securely. Before the permanent installation, we recommend that you carry out a function test of the light. ATTENTION: Only connect to a 12V DC vehicle electrical system!
  2. Daytime running light with position light (Fig.1). Position light (Fig.2).
  3. If the LED insert is installed in a suitable lamp housing, sufficient ventilation must be ensured to prevent the LED headlight from overheating. Failure to do so will void the warranty!
  4.   ATTENTION: After mounting, insert the flat plugs into the supplied 3-pin plug housing. Ensure the correct assignment according to the sketch below.
  5. Lay all cables properly. Do not kink the cables. Insulate loose cable ends well!
  6. On vehicles with CAN bus system or ABS system, error messages may occur due to the lower electrical resistance of the LED unit. In this case, an additional resistor can help.
  7. A manually switched low beam (light switch) is a prerequisite for proper operation. According to the regulations, the daytime running light must be connected in such a way that it is automatically deactivated when the main headlight is switched on or remains activated in dimmed function (parking light) (exception: headlight flash).
  8. ATTENTION: When the DRL is switched on, the rear light must be also running.
  9. On vehicles without a light switch, use the HIGHSIDER “DRL CONTROL-BOX CB1” (article no.: 208-108) to ensure acorrect operation.
  10. According to the ECE (STVO) regulations, the rear light must also be switched on when operating the daytime running light! For this reason, the rear light must be connected to the ignition (terminal 15 (+)).
  11. ATTENTION: After installation, the correct functioning of the ABS system or CAN bus system must be checked!
  12.   ATTENTION: Check the correct function of the light system before every ride.
