Product Installation
Welcome to use the SmallRig 67mm attachable filter set, which will be automatically attached when using the filter close to the pre-installed filter adapter ring (filter adapter ring needs to be purchased separately, SmallRig filter adapters are recommended).
For use on DSLRs, attach the camera lens directly using the threaded adapter included already in the kit, and then attach the filter to the adapter ring.
Function and Features
- VND: Variable Neutral Density Filter, superimposed on two polarizers, rotates one of the lenses to control the amount of light entering to extend the exposure time. The SmallRig VND 2-32 filter can be attached to and fixed on the filter adapter ring through the positioning ring at the bottom (SmallRig filter adapters are recommended), and 1-5 steps of light reduction are obtained by rotating the outer aluminum alloy ring. The exposure extension time for different reduction levels is shown in the exposure parameter conversion table below.
- CPL: the circular polarizer can well eliminate the reflection of non-metallic surfaces (such as lakes. windows, waterfalls, glass, buildings, etc.). and effectively enhance the saturation effect of the image. CPL can also increase the color saturation of the picture, making the sky bluer and the water more transparent. In addition, it can also be used as an ND filter to effectively reduce the light by 1-2 levels. When shooting with a CPL filter, rotate the filter to the appropriate angle to ensure that reflections are eliminated.
- Black Diffusion Filter: the black diffusion filter can soften the highlights in the picture, reduce the contrast and sharpness of the picture, and create a beautiful and romantic atmosphere while preserving the details of the shadows. When shooting portraits, the skin of the subject will be more delicate and soft. The black diffusion filter is divided into different levels according to the ability to soften highlights, and the common gears are 1 /8 level, 1 /4 and 1 /2.

Please note: If the external light, metering method, and sensitivity setting change before and after the filter is added, the resulting exposure time may change.
