Assembly
-
Choose a flat, stable surface for the assembly process.
-
Grasp the Hub facing downward in your hand. Gently lower the four Extension Arms until seated and the shape resembles an X.
-
Locate the Rear Hub and align its central hole with the Rear Post.
-
With the smooth side of the Rear Hub facing upwards, lower it onto the Rear Post until it’s seated onto the Hub.
-
Rotate the Rear Hub clockwise to secure into place. Do not over-tighten.
-
Select two Extension Arms that are closest to each other, unlock the clasps, and fully extend each arm.
-
After full extension of both arms, lock all clasps into position and place the extended arms onto the ground while supporting the frame by holding onto the Rear Post.
-
Locate the Rear Support Arm and loosen the tension knob located on top of the tilter bracket by turning it counterclockwise 2-3 turns. Do not completely remove the knob.
-
Align the Rear Support Leg with the two fully-extended arms and slide the tilter bracket onto the Rear Post. Rotate the tension knob clockwise to secure into place.
Do not over-tighten. -
While supporting the frame with the extended arms resting on the ground, unlock the Rear Support Leg clasp. Locate the tension knob located on the side of the tilter bracket and turn counterclockwise to loosen.
-
Adjust the leg to the desired vertical angle.
Tighten the side tension knob and lock the clasp to secure into position. Do not overtighten. -
Attach your fabric panel by hooking the grommets onto the circular hooks at the ends of all four Extension Arms. For the Silver/ Sunlight Panel, ensure the window opening is between the top two Extension Arms.
-
Once all grommets are attached, unlock the clasps on the upper two Extension Arms and extend the arms until the fabric panel is taut. Close the clasps to lock the Extension Arms into place.
Attaching the Dual-Speedlight Clamp
- Turn off the speedlight(s).
- Loosen the set screws located on each of the clamp’s cold shoes.
- Loosen the speedlight’s locking mechanism. This mechanism varies by manufacturer.
- Attach the first speedlight by sliding the hot shoe into the cold-shoe track.
- Position the speedlight in the middle of the cold shoe and tighten the set screw
- Lock the speedlight onto the cold shoe using its built-in locking mechanism for additional security.
- If applicable, repeat the process to attach the second speedlight.
- Once the speedlight(s) are attached, rotate the handle of the clamp counterclockwise to open the jaws of the clamp.
- With the speedlight(s) facing the fabric panel, place the clamp at the desired position on the Rear Post and rotate the clamp handle clockwise to secure to the arm. Do not over-tighten.
Alternatively, you can attach the clamp to Rear Post before attaching the speedlight(s).
Using the Ground Stakes
When using the Fusion Light Control System outdoors, its recommended to use the included Ground Stakes to prevent the possibility of injury or product damage in the case of unexpected changes in the environmental conditions. The stakes can also be used to secure the Fusion system on uneven surfaces.
- Remove the Ground Stakes from their storage case.
- Select one of the Extension Arms resting on the ground and loop the pull cord around the circular hook located on the base of each Extension Arm.
- Once the pull cord is securely hooked, press the button on the cord lock and slide it towards the circular hook until it’s held firmly in place.
- Press the Ground Stake into the ground angled away from the arm, ensuring about an inch of the stake remains above ground for easy removal.
- Repeat the steps above for the remaining Extension Arm and the Rear Support Leg.
