Caring for Your Carrier
Prior to washing, unthread the sling. You can wash your sling by hand in cool water or in a washing machine on a cold, gentle cycle. Be sure to use a gentle liquid detergent that is free of optical brighteners to protect your sling. When washing in a machine, you can use a tight sock or ring wraps to cover the rings to protect them.
Once washed, hang the sling or lay it out flat to dry. Be sure to keep it out of direct sunlight. When the sling is dry, you may wish to bring it back to its original softness by using either an iron or the dryer. For the iron option, set your iron to the hottest setting and press the sling using lots of steam, taking care to not iron the tag. For the dryer option, place a fully dry sling into the dryer on low heat with dryer balls. All of our slings are handcrafted using all-natural textiles, so it may lose a bit of color each time you wash your sling.
Always remember to check for ripped seams, torn fabric, and damaged hardware before each use. If found, stop using the ring sling.
Threading the Ring Sling
Threading the sling is the first step for all three carries.
