- Make sure that the ventilation around the device is good during charging.
- Keep the device away from heat sources and away from areas where the ambient temperature is relatively high (e.g. stoves or other heat sources). Never use the device near naked flames (such as burning candles) or on hot surfaces.
- The Trimmer is designed to work best in normal ambient temperatures between 0°C and 35°C and to be stored at temperatures between 0°C and 45°C. The Trimmer may be damaged and the battery life may be shortened if the device is stored or used outside this temperature range. Do not subject your device to dramatic changes in temperature. Do not store your device in a hot car or direct sunlight for extended periods. Do not place the device near a window (especially in the summer).
- Use the device only in a moderate climate (not in a tropical climate).
WATER
WARNING:
The Trimmer has an IPx5 rating which means that it is protected against
waterjets but you cannot submerge it in water or liquids.
- Do not charge in wet or humid environments (such as the bathroom).
- Do not immerse the trimmer in liquid.
- Do not reach for the device if it has fallen into water while charging the battery. Disconnect the USB adapter from the power outlet immediately and only then remove the device from the water.
BATTERY SAFETY

- Avoid charging the battery at temperatures below 5°C or above 40°C.
- Do not continue charging the battery if it does not recharge within the specified charging time. Doing so may cause the battery to become hot, rupture, or ignite. Unplug the device once fully charged or if left unattended during charging.
- Do not attempt to recharge the battery if the battery emits any substances. In that case, immediately distance yourself from the battery in case of fire or explosion. Only recharge with a charger with the correct specifications.
- Do not recharge the battery near flammable materials (fire hazard).
- Do not attempt to pierce, modify, disassemble, or change the battery.
- Do not use your Trimmer if the battery begins to emit odor, starts to overheat, or begins to leak.
- Do not touch any leaking materials or breathe fumes emitted from the battery. Leaking or damaged batteries can lead to caustic burning of the skin. Therefore, use suitable protective gloves.
- The battery contains dangerous substances, do not open the battery or insert anything into an exposed battery.
- Do not allow children and animals to touch an exposed battery.
- Never throw the battery into a fire.
- Do not short-circuit the battery. The battery can explode or leak if shorted.
- An empty battery can still be dangerous.
- When you handle the battery, make sure that your hands, the product, and the battery are dry.
- To avoid accidental short-circuiting of the battery after removal, do not let battery terminals come into contact with metal objects (e.g. coins, hairpins, rings). Do not wrap the battery in aluminum foil. Tape battery terminals or put the battery in a plastic bag before you discard it.
- Keep the battery away from children, babies, or animals.
CLEANING & DISINFECTING
NOTE:
For hygienic reasons, we strongly advise you not to share the Trimmer with
other people.
It is important to clean and disinfect a Trimmer and its attachments, just
like any other personal care or grooming device. Regular cleaning and
disinfection help maintain the hygiene and effectiveness of the device, as
well as prevent the buildup of bacteria, dirt, and other potentially harmful
substances.
Here’s why you should clean and disinfect a Trimmer:
- Using an unclean Trimmer can introduce bacteria, oils, dead skin cells, and other contaminants to your skin. This can lead to skin irritations, infections, and other issues.
- The buildup of hair, skin cells, and debris on the cutting blades can decrease the performance of the Trimmer, leading to uneven or inefficient cutting.
- Bacteria and other microorganisms can lead to unpleasant odors if they are allowed to accumulate on the device or attachments.
- Regular cleaning can extend the lifespan of your Trimmer and attachments.
After Each Use
- Turn off the Trimmer.
- Rinse the trimming heads with lukewarm water. You can also use the supplied cleaning brush to clean the heads.
- Let all parts dry completely before installing the attachment on the trimmer and use it again.
Thorough Cleaning
If a thorough cleaning is required, then you can clean the Cutting head
with water. Remove the cutting head from the Trimmer before cleaning it in the
water and then clean the internal parts with the supplied cleaning brush to
remove hair and dirt. Beware of the sharp blades.
- The cutting head of the Trimmer is waterproof, so you can easily clean the head under the tap.
- If required, the trimmer head can be rinsed with water. Don’t rinse the motor part or the rest of the trimmer body. Keep the charging port dry.
- Dry all wet parts with a soft cloth. Be sure that the charging port is dry before charging the Trimmer to avoid accidents.
General Cleaning Cautions
- Allow the Trimmer to cool down completely before cleaning.
- Put the power off before cleaning. Never clean while charging the battery. Always unplug your USB charger.
- A slightly moist or dry cloth is recommended for cleaning the exterior of the Trimmer. Dry with a soft cloth.
- Be careful not to put too much pressure on the switch while cleaning.
- Do not immerse the Trimmer in water or any other liquids.
- Under no circumstances use aggressive cleaning agents, cleaning alcohol, or other chemical solutions since these can penetrate the housing or impair functionality.
- Do not use abrasive objects for cleaning.
- Cleaning must not be performed by children.
Disinfecting
There are times when you may want to disinfect the Trimmer, especially
after being used by multiple users. Clean the device first, and disinfect it
after the cleaning.
-
Put the power off before disinfecting. Never disinfect while charging the battery. Always unplug your USB charger.
-
The use of disinfectant wipes on the body of the Trimmer:
– Do not use disinfectant wipes containing bleach.
– Dry with a soft cloth. -
The use of disinfectant spray on the blades:
– After cleaning the blades or attachments, we recommend using a disinfectant spray. It keeps the parts hygienically clean and is effective against bacteria and viruses. -
Allow the Trimmer and attachments to air dry after disinfecting.
-
Disinfecting must not be performed by children.
MAINTENANCE & SERVICE
- Apart from cleaning, the Trimmer is maintenance-free. Regular cleaning will keep the device in good working order and prevent the growth of odors and bacteria.
- You may not reconstruct, self-repair, or disassemble the Trimmer.
- Blades will wear out through frequent use. Worn blades can affect performance. For an optimal result, you must replace worn blades in time.
- Check regularly for damage and severe wear.
WARNINGS:
- Do not attempt to open the Trimmer for maintenance. Removing the housing or improper reassembly may cause electric shocks, damage, short circuit, or fire.
- If for any reason you open the housing, the warranty will become null and void. The Trimmer contains no user-serviceable parts. The battery cannot be replaced.
- Maintenance, service, and repairs may only be carried out by the manufacturer, a professional workshop appointed by the manufacturer, or a similarly qualified person. To obtain maintenance or service, contact us first at our e-mail address info@strex.nl.
- For missing accessories such as the manual or other items, contact us at the above-mentioned e- mail address.
- In case of a defect, return the product to STREX with a failure description, proof of purchase, and all accessories.
STORAGE & TRANSPORT
- We advise cleaning the Trimmer before long-time storage.
- Do not store wet or damp parts, as mold may develop.
- Store the Trimmer in a place not exposed to sunlight & humidity, and which is dust-free.
- Do not store the Trimmer in extremely high or extremely low temperatures. This can damage the device.
- Store the device beyond the reach of small children.
- Recharge the battery of the Trimmer every 3 months even if you did not use it at all.
- Coil the USB charging cable loosely, but do not wrap it around the device.
- Protect the device against vibrations and shocks during transport.
- After transport or storage at very cold temperatures, the Trimmer must be accustomed to room temperature for approx. 30 minutes due to possible condensation. After that, the device can be used.
