WARNING: DO NOT REMOVE ANY PANELLING FROM THE TRAILER BODY, IT IS DESIGNED TO ASSIST IN PREVENTING CONTACT BETWEEN THE CHILD AND MOVING PARTS.
ASSEMBLE THE BRAKE
The foot brake is pre-assembled in the trailer, but you need to adjust the brake by following the instructions below. Screw the red parts to the hole shown in the below image and lock it.
WARNING: THE BRAKES MUST ALWAYS BE APPLIED WHEN USED IN STROLLER CONFIGURATION AND THE STROLLER IS NOT MOVING. WHEN IN TRAILER CONFIGURATION AND ATTACHED TO A BIKE, ENSURE BOTH BRAKES ARE RELEASED PRIOR TO RIDING.
INSTALLING WHEELS
Place the wheel hub on the axle by simply pushing the wheel in until it snaps into place, so the wheel cannot be removed. To remove the wheels, lift the back of trailer up and push on the buttons located on the axle and remove the wheel (See diagram).
ATTACHING THE TOW BAR– TRAILER END
- The hitch arm is held in place by a spring pin and a lock pin. Depress the spring pin and slide the tow bar into the receiver on the left side of the trailer as shown.
- Once the spring pin locks in place in the bracket, locate the lock pin, (tethered on the trailer frame), insert the pin through the bracket and into the hole in the tow bar. The pin should go completely through the tow bar and bracket.
- Once the pin is through, rotate the spring clip up and over until it snaps into place over the pin head.
- Give the pin a tug to be sure it is secure.
WARNING: ENSURE THE TOW BAR IS REMOVED BEFORE USING AS A STROLLER.
ATTACHING THE TOP COVER
The cover is designed to keep passengers and cargo dry and warm in inclement weather and protects from flying debris. The PVC rain cover can be rolled up to allow for added ventilation in hot weather. Hook & Loop closures keep the rain cover out of the way when rolled up. Position cover over the top of the trailer so that the roll-up window with bug mesh screen is positioned over the front of the trailer.
FOLDING AND ERECTING THE VEHICLE FOR TRANSPORT AND STORAGE.
- Remove the Top Cover – This is the reverse procedure explained in the ‘attaching the top cover section’.
- Press the red toggle (highlighted below in red) on the quick release section on the top bars of the frame.
- Collapse the top bars of the frame downwards.
The erection of the vehicle is the reverse of the folding procedure, ensuring the quick release ‘clicks’ into position.
Note : there is no secure latching in the close position; it is recommended that the wheels and/or tow bar are removed before lifting the vehicle, or that two people lift the vehicle.
THERE IS POTENTIAL FOR FINGERS OR PARTS OF THE BODY TO BE INJURED WHEN THE VEHICLE IS BEING FOLDED OR UNFOLDED, AND DUE CARE SHOULD BE EXERCISED.
USING THE FIVE-POINT SEAT HARNESS
The harness system in your foldable trailer is designed to keep your passengers immobilized and secure during transport. The harness is designed to accommodate one or two children.
- Disconnect shoulder strap clips from crotch strap D-RING.
- Place child(ren) in seat(s).
- If carrying a single passenger, place child in the middle of the trailer seat.
- Put one strap over each shoulder and connect to the D-RING of the crotch strap.
- Adjust shoulder crotch straps to be snug and secure.
- Fasten lap belt and tighten securely.
WARNING
- NEVER RIDE WITHOUT SECURING PASSENGERS IN THE FIVE-POINT HARNESS. UNRESTRAINED PASSENGERS CAN AFFECT BIKE HANDLING; AND THEY MAY BE MORE LIKELY TO BE INJURED IN THE EVENT OF AN ACCIDENT.
- NEVER LEAVE THE HARNESS BUCKLED WHEN NOT FITTED TO A CHILD IN THE STROLLER, THE HARNESS CAN FORM LOOPS WHICH MAY POSE A STRANGULATION HAZARD.
ATTACHING TRAILER TO BICYCLE
- Pull the trailer hitch out of the drawbar and fit it onto the bicycle rear axle.
- On axles with quick release, take out the whole axle, push the trailer hitch onto the nut and fit the axle back in.
- On axles fastened with hexagonal nuts, unscrew the nut with washer. Push the trailer hitch onto the axle and screw the nut back on with the washer.
- Connect the hitch on the drawbar and secure the lock pin.
- Once the drawbar is attached, pull safety belt through the rear end chain stay on the bicycle and hook it into the bracket on the drawbar, ensure there is no slack that could become tangled in any moving parts.
WARNING: IF THE HITCH INTERFERES WITH YOUR BIKE OR OTHER BIKE ATTACHMENTS, OR IF IT DOES NOT TIGHTEN SECURELY, DO NOT USE. CONTACT YOUR BIKE RETAILER FOR HELP WITH PROPER INSTALLATION.
ATTACH THE HANDLEBAR
- Attach the two handlebar mounting tubes to the frame on the rear panel.
- With the open end of the mounting tube facing up, align the holes on the tube to the holes on the frame.
- Insert screws through the tube and holes in the frame and attach the nuts from the inside of the cabin.
- Tighten firmly using a screwdriver and wrench.
- Slide the ends of the handlebars into the mounting tubes, align the holes, and insert the lock pins.
INSTALLING THE STROLLER WHEEL
The trailer comes with a stroller kit that allows for an easy stroller when it is not attached to the bicycle. By following the instructions below, you can convert the trailer to a stroller in no time. Insert the stroller wheel into the round tube in the front centre of the trailer body. Then fix the front wheel by using a quick release.
