Product Usage Instructions

Installation

Note: To avoid relieving the pressure of the storage tank, proceed with the installation of one anode at a time in order to prevent water leakage.

  1. Pre-assemble the reductions (5) on the electronic anodes (6), ensuring not to scratch the anodes and to keep the rubber protections on the stems intact.
  2. Perform the hydraulic seal using an appropriate sealing material such as Teflon.
  3. Remove the upper insulation cover of the storage tank unit.
  4. Remove the lower fitting with gasket, the magnesium anode (if any) already mounted on the storage tank, and the black plastic perforated protection.
  5. Just before installing the anode, remove the rubber protection on the stem.
  6. Mount the lower anode (6) on the storage tank in the appropriate seat, ensuring a hydraulic seal with sealing material like Teflon. Use a wrench to tighten the anode on the fitting (5).
  7. Eliminate the upper fitting with gasket and any magnesium anode already assembled on the storage tank.
  8. Just before installing the anode, remove the rubber protection on the stem.
  9. Mount the upper anode (6) on the storage tank in the appropriate seat, ensuring a hydraulic seal with sealing material like Teflon. Use a wrench to tighten the anode on the fitting (5).

General warnings

All products are protected with suitable transport packaging. The material must be stored in dry environments and protected against weathering.
This instruction manual provides technical information for installing the kit. As for the other issues related to kit installation (e.g. safety in the work site, environment protection, injury prevention), it is necessary to comply with the provisions specified in the regulations in force and principles of good practice.
Improper installation or assembly of the appliance and/or compo-nents, accessories, kit and devices can cause unexpected problems to people, animals and objects. Read the instructions provided with the product carefully to ensure a proper installation. Installation and maintenance must be performed in compliance with the regulations in force, according to the manufacturer’s instructions and by authorised professionally qualified staff, intending staff with specific technical skills in the plant sector, as envisioned by the Law.
Attention: This kit can only be coupled with storage tanks pro-vided with the two sacrificial anode seats.

Installation

N.B.: to avoid relieving the pressure of the storage tank, proceed with the installation of one anode at a time in order to prevent water from leaking from the lower fitting.

  • Pre-assemble the reductions (5) on the electronic anodes (6) taking care not to scratch the anodes and not to move the rub-ber protections on the stems (fig. 1).
Carry out the hydraulic seal with special sealing material such as Teflon or similar.

  • Remove the upper insulation cover (1) of the storage tank unit (fig. 1).

  • Remove the lower fitting (2) with gasket (3), the relative mag-nesium anode (4) (if any) already mounted on the storage tank (fig. 1) and the relative black plastic perforated protection.

  • Just before installing the anode remove the rubber protection on the stem.

  • Mount the lower anode (6) on the storage tank in the appropri-ate seat (fig. 1) by means of a hydraulic seal with appropriate sealing material such as Teflon or similar.
Attention: lock the anode by placing the wrench on the fitting (5).

  • Eliminate the upper fitting (2) with gasket (3) and the relative magnesium anode (4) (if any) already assembled on the storage tank (fig. 1).

  • Just before installing the anode remove the rubber protection on the stem.

  • Mount the upper anode (6) on the storage tank in the appropri-ate seat (fig. 1) by means of a hydraulic seal with appropriate sealing material such as Teflon or similar.
Attention: lock the anode by placing the wrench on the fitting (5).IMMERGAS-

  • Mount the plate (7) on the inspection flange (14) using the nut (15) and washer (16) (fig. 2).

  • Assemble the control unit (17) with the screws (18) on the fixing plate (7). Fix the bracket (8) on the plate (7) using the screw with shorter threaded stem (9). Fasten the clip (10) and the cable with negative pole eyelet terminal (11) to he plate (7) the latter with screw (12) and washer (13) (fig. 2).IMMERGAS-HERCULES-PRO-Electronic-Anode-Kit-Instruction-Manual-fig-2

  • Implement the electrical connections as described in fig. 3.IMMERGAS-HERCULES-PRO-Electronic-Anode-Kit-Instruction-Manual-fig-3

  • Make sure to run the electronic anode connection cables and the control unit power cable underneath the insulation.

  • Collect and secure any cables that may remain free with a clip (fig. 4).

  • Shape the internal insulation of the inspection flange (23) with a cutter or suitable tool (24) in order to reposition it in its place, even with the control unit assembled (17).

  • Drill the inspection flange external cover (19) with the appropri-ate tool (e.g. scissors, awl, etc.) (20). Fix the external cover (19) to the bracket (8) using screw (21) and washer (22).

  • Press the bracket (26) onto the specially shaped fitting (5).

  • Drill the hood (25) with the appropriate tool (e.g. scissors, awl, etc.) as done for the external cover (19).

  • Fix the hood (25) to the bracket (26) using screw (21) and washer (22).

  • Re-open the cold water inlet tap.

Electronic anode

Connect the anode plug to the electric network, making sure that the power supply corresponds to 230V ±10% – 50 / 60 Hz. Once plugged in the anode activates and, in the absence of anomalies, the LED lights up green.
In case of anomalies, the LED lights up red, in this case, proceed as follows:

  • Check that the storage tank/cylinder is full of water.
  • Check that the plug is correctly plugged in and that the power supply corresponds to what is indicated.
  • Check that the circuit earthing has been connected correctly, otherwise the device cannot work.

If all the checks have given a negative result and the anomaly persists, contact an authorized company (e.g. Immergas After-Sales Service).

Maintenance

This device does not require any maintenance. Its useful life, under normal and correct conditions of use, is decades long.

FAQ
