INSTALLATION MANUAL | SLATTED PANEL
BEFORE INSTALLATION…
It is strongly recommended to visually inspect all products upon unpacking.
Lightly sand the application area before installing the product. After
sanding, wipe the wall with a cloth to remove dust. The installation area must
be free of moisture and dust. The product is recommended for masonry walls.
Apply at least one layer of putty, primer, or paint before installation. Do
not install on raw cement or styrofoam. The wall paint needs to be dry and
firm. The total curing time for some paints or putties may vary from 15 to 30
days. It is recommended to have a skirting board installed where the panel
will be applied, preventing direct contact with the floor. In damp locations,
on tiles and porcelain tiles, glossy paints, resins, waterproofers, varnishes,
PVC, textured finishes, wallpaper, and textures, the installation must be
reinforced with contact adhesive, silicone, or instant adhesive.
Storage and Shelf Life
Store the product in a dry and ventilated place. Do not store in inappropriate
locations such as exposed to sunlight, extreme heat or cold, damp areas, or
near fuels. Install respecting the product’s expiration date.
INSTALLATION TIPS
Do not roll the product in the opposite direction (with the laminated part
inside), as this may cause damage. Curves with very tight angles (less than
45°) can also damage the lamination. When making cuts, wet the utility knife
blade in a solution of water + detergent to prevent the product’s adhesive
from sticking to the blade. Cut with the laminated part of the product facing
up. To do this, lightly slide the utility knife under the line where you want
to make the cut and repeat the process two more times, with the last pass
applying more pressure for a precise and complete cut. For better adhesion,
reinforce the edges (corners) of the product during installation with contact
adhesive or instant adhesive. If necessary, use silicone for finishing
touches.
