INSTALLATION MANUAL | EVA PRODUCTS
BEFORE INSTALLATION…
Lightly sand the application area before installing the product. After
sanding, wipe the wall with a cloth to remove dust. The installation area must
be free of moisture and dust. The product is recommended for masonry walls. At
least one layer of putty, primer, or paint is required before application. It
cannot be installed on raw cement and styrofoam. The wall paint needs to be
dry and firm. The total curing time for some paints or putties may vary from
15 to 30 days. In damp locations, on tiles and porcelain tiles, glossy paints,
resins, waterproofers, varnishes, PVC, textured finishes, wallpaper, and
textures, the installation must be reinforced with contact adhesive, silicone,
or instant adhesive.
Storage and Shelf Life
Store the product in a dry and ventilated place. Do not store in inappropriate
locations such as exposed to sunlight, extreme heat or cold, damp areas, or
near fuels. Install respecting the product’s expiration date.
INSTALLATION TIPS
Roll the product in the opposite direction, especially the edges. This helps
the product lose its roll memory and reduces pressure, improving adhesive
performance. When making cuts, wet the blade of the utility knife in a
solution of water + detergent to prevent the product’s adhesive from sticking
to the blade. Since the product is flexible, take care not to stretch it
during installation. Stretching can compromise adhesion and may cause the
product to “shrink” later. For better adhesion, reinforce the edges (corners)
of the product during installation with contact adhesive or instant adhesive.
Sealing the installation with silicone enhances the durability of the product
and adhesive – especially recommended for humid areas and outdoor
environments. If necessary, use putty or silicone for finishing touches.
STEP-BY-STEP
SELF-ADHESIVE SKIRTING AND CEILING MOLDINGS
1º Measure where the product will be applied and cut it with approximately 5cm
extra to make a 45° corner. The final piece to be glued should be a few
millimeters larger than the area where it will be installed. 2º Use the 45°
cutting templates (sold separately) to assemble the corner. Apply a thin layer
of glue to each end of the corner. Allow the glue to dry for ten minutes
before attaching the ends. We recommend assembling the corner first and then
taking it ready to the wall.
3º Remove the tape from the back and start gluing. Always start fixing from
one of the ends, gluing a few centimeters. Then fix the other end, also gluing
a few centimeters. Then glue from the ends towards the middle (which should be
the last part fixed to the wall).
4º Press the product firmly against the wall (tap with closed fists to help).
CHAIR RAIL
1º Using a pencil, ruler, and level, draw the chair rail (molding) shape on
the wall. 2º Cut the product to the desired size and assemble the corners
using the 45° cutting templates (sold separately). 3º Remove the liner
(protective tape from the back of the product) from the upper piece of the
molding and stick it to the wall using the level and template. The gluing
should be done inside the previously drawn line to ensure correct formation of
the design. 4º Always start fixing from one of the ends, gluing a few
centimeters. Then fix the other end, also gluing a few centimeters. Then glue
from the ends towards the middle.
5º Then remove the liner from one of the side pieces and stick it next to the
previous one (vertically), fitting into the 45° cut. Repeat the process on the
other side. 6º Finally, stick the last piece of the molding horizontally (at
the bottom), fitting perfectly into the corners, forming a rectangle or square
according to your design. Done! Installation complete!
