• Thermostat Quick Reference
  • The thermostat quick reference provides an overview of key features:
  • 1. LCD Display: Shows room temperature and setpoint temperature.
  • 2. Glow in the Dark Light Button: Illuminates the display.
  • 3. Fan Switch: Choose between ON (continuous) or AUTO (cycles with heating/cooling).
  • 4. System Switch: Turn the HVAC system ON or OFF for heating or cooling.
  • 5. Temperature Setpoint Buttons: Adjust room temperature using the + or – buttons.
• Battery Information
  • Important: Replace batteries when the low battery indicator is displayed. For extended battery life in temperatures below 40 degrees, use 1.5V AA lithium batteries instead of alkaline. To replace batteries:
  • Use the finger bevel to open the battery door.
  • Replace with 2 AA 1.5v batteries.
  • Refer to the instructions on the back of the battery door.

Important: The low battery indicator is displayed when the AA battery power is low. If the user fails to replace the battery within 21 days, the thermostat display will only show the low battery indicator as a final warning before the thermostat becomes inoperable.
NOTE: In applications where the thermostat will see temperatures below 40 degrees it is recommended that 1.5V AA lithium batteries be used instead of alkaline for increased battery life. (Extreme temperatures decrease the life of Alkaline batteries.)

THERMOSTAT OPERATION

Easy to use controls

1. LCD Display: See page 2 for details about this display read out.
2. Glow in the Dark Light Button: The glow in the dark light button will self illuminate for several hours after exposure to ambient light. This button turns on the display light when pressed.
3. Fan Switch: If your system has a fan, select ON or AUTO. ON will run the fan continuously. AUTO will cycle the fan on only when the heating or cooling system is on.
4. System Switch: Selects the operation mode of your HVAC system. Selecting ON turns on either the heating or cooling. Selecting OFF turns off heating or cooling. Your thermostat is configured for either heat or cool.
5. Temperature Setpoint Buttons: Press the + or – buttons to select the desired room temperature.

Caution: When the battery icon appears replace your AA batteries immediately. Failure to do so may result in your heating & cooling system becoming inoperable.
