GENERAL WARNINGS
INSTALLATION RECOMMENDATIONS
The place of installation of the appliance and relative Immergas accessories
must have suitable features (technical and structural), such to allow for
(always safe, efficient, and comfortable conditions):
- installation (according to the provisions of technical legislation and technical regulations);
- maintenance operations (including scheduled, periodic, routine and special maintenance);
- removal (to outdoors in the place for loading and transporting the appliances and components) as well as the eventual replacement of those with appliances and/or equivalent components.
Installation must be carried out according to UNI and IEC regulations standards, and current legislation, and in compliance with local technical regulations and the required technical procedures. Before installing the inertial storage tank, ensure that it is delivered in perfect condition; if in doubt, contact the supplier immediately. Packing materials (staples, nails, plastic bags, polystyrene foam, etc.) constitute a hazard and must be kept out of the reach of children. There must be sufficient clearance around the device in its place of installation to permit normal maintenance. In case of installation under the heat pump, refer to the relevant instruction booklet for the minimum clearances. Keep all flammable objects away from the appliance (paper, rags, plastic, polystyrene, etc.). Failure to comply with the above implies personal responsibility and invalidates the warranty. At the end of its service life, the appliance must not be disposed of like normal household waste nor abandoned in the environment but must be removed by a professionally authorized company. Contact the manufacturer for disposal instructions.
OPERATION
Immergas inertial storage tanks are used to stabilise the primary system for
the heat pumps. Thanks to the special arrangement of the hydraulic
connections, the hydraulic layout may vary according to the relevant use and
requirements.
MAIN FEATURES.
Vertical Kit
The vertical inertial storage tank has a layer of insulation 40 mm thick. The
device has 2 rear connections and an air vent in the upper part. Each device
also has, under the removable front, the drain with valve. Hydraulic
connections must be carried out in a rational manner using the relevant
fittings, connecting these to the system return pipe of the heat pump.
Recessed kit
The inertial recessed storage tank kit is designed to be installed in exterior
and interior walls. The frame has pre-sections needed to connect the flexible
hoses (supplied) according to the type of installation. The storage tank has 2
connections with flexible hoses and air vent in the upper part. It also has a
drain with valve.

INSTALLATION INERTIAL STORAGE TANK
VERTICAL INERTIAL STORAGE TANK INSTALLATION.
Proceed as follows to install the vertical inertial storage tank.
- Place the storage tank taking care to place the supplied vibra-tion-dampening feet between the brackets and floor.
- Install the storage tank taking care to observe the minimum distances indicated on the instruction manual of the condensing unit or of the heat pump installed (Ref. Par. 2.4).
INERTIAL STORAGE TANK INSTALLATION ON SOLAR CONTAINER
Proceed as follows to install the inertial storage tank coupled with Solar
Container.

Set-up the masonry jobs creating an opening in the wall where the frame will be installed, paying attention to envision the space for the 4 slots for the side support fins in case of installation next to the Solar Container and for the 6 slots in case of installation above the recessed frame (in sectors “A” shown in Fig. 5 and 6 are the hidden support slots to be opened and fixed in the slots on the wall).
N.B.: it is very important to align the storage tank kit to the Solar Container kit -
The storage tank kit is closed with a lid, which can be opened by the handle and only after unlocking the two locks. Attention: the installation of the storage tank kit inside the wall, must guarantee stable and effective support for the appliance it contains. This kit ensures suitable support only if inserted correctly (according to the rules of good practice) and positioned in a square for the wall following the instructions given below, thus guaranteeing the correct functionality of the front doors. The storage tank kit is not a supporting structure and cannot replace the piece of wall removed. It is therefore necessary to check its correct positioning inside the wall.

For safety reasons, it is necessary to carefully seal the housing compartment of the storage tank kit in the wall, in compliance with the Standards in force.

Be sure to remove the relevant sections based on the type of installation (Fig. 5 – 6).

Now make the connections according to your needs and type of installation.

PIPE INSULATION APPLICATION.
Fit the insulated connection hoses supplied, inserting the special gaskets
(Ref.2 Fig.8 – 9). Install the insulation sleeves (Ref. 1 Fig. 8 – 9) on the
upper and lower terminals of the hydraulic connections.

- Remove the 3-way valve side B connection pipe – pipe supporting plate and connect the 2 flexible hoses by inserting the pipe (Ref. 4 Fig. 9 – Ref. 3 Fig. 11) present in the kit.
- Insulate the 2 connections with the insulations provided in the kit.
RECESSED INERTIAL STORAGE TANK HYDRAULIC DIAGRAM – TRIO BASE CONNECTION WITH RESISTANCE.
- Remove the 3-way valve side B connection pipe – pipe supporting plate and connect the 2 flexible hoses by inserting the pipe (Ref. 4 Fig. 9 – Ref. 3 Fig. 12) present in the kit.
- Insulate the 2 connections with the insulations provided in the kit.
