How to replace  a node

BEFORE YOU START Tools needed

Make sure the replacement node is:

Turned  On

In Hotspot Mode (Network  LED is Flashing GREEN)

Supplied by Customer:

  • AndrHid device

  • Active Power source
    (110-240 VAC/POE)

Supplied by Augury:

  • Halo Node

Setting Up the New Node

1 Supply power to Node

2 Sign in to the Halo  

  1. Navigate to the installed tab

  2. Click-add node

  3. The App will search for nearby  nodes that are on and
    connected to the network and  will display the new node’s  serial number shortly

  4. Select the relevant node and fill  in the information requested –  Keep in mind the node
    name  cannot be the same, So use a variation such as “Replacement” in the node name

  5. Click active Node

3 Mount the node using your professional judgment on the
best mounting method to affix the mounting plate to the
appropriate location.

Replacing Node in the  Halo Installation App

A node can be replaced both  from the Field job tab and the installed tab

VIA FIELD JOB

1 Enter the job in the app

2 Press and hold (long tap)  on the node you wish to  replace

Note: if the node does not  already have EP’s mapped to it, you will only be
able to delete it- please see the Delete section for  flow.

3 Tap on “Replace”

4 Select the node to replace  with

5 Approve replace node

6 Validate the status that the  endpoints are linking to  the new node and sending  data

Via tab Installed

1 Find the node to be  replaced In node list

2 Open the menu of  Node to be replaced

3 Select “Replace” button

4 Select the Replacement

5 Check in app that all EP  and machines from
previous node were moved  to new node

6 Validate that the data from  EPs is uploaded (might take up to 1 hour)

7 If needed see “Delete”  section below for flow.

Deleting Old Node Out of Halo Installation App

Why is this necessary? If yo4  leave the old node in the app, it  will continue to show up on the  Needs Remediation reports. Do  not do this until you have verified the new node is connected to the  endpoints and sending data correctly.

1 Navigate to the old node in  Halo Installation App

2 Click on the three dots to  the right of the name

3 Click Delete

4 Confirm the deletion
