GENERAL SAFETY

INSTALLING THE REMOTE CONTROL BATTERY

  1. When installing for the first time, remove the battery insulation film.

  3. Push in the holder release and then pull out the battery holder.

WARNING

  • INGESTION HAZARD: this product contains a button or coin battery.
  • DEATH or serious injury can occur if ingested.

Remove and immediately recycle or dispose of used batteries according to local regulations and keep them away from children. Do NOT dispose of batteries in household trash or incinerate them. Even used batteries may cause severe injury or death. Call a local poison control centre for treatment information. The compatible battery type with this product is CR2025, whose nominal voltage is 3V. Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged. Do not force discharge, recharge, disassemble, heat above (manufacturer’sspecified temperature rating) or incinerate. Doing so may result in injury due to venting, leakage or explosion resulting in chemical burns. Ensure the batteries are installed correctly according to polarity (+ and -). Do not mix old and new batteries, different brands or types of batteries, such as alkaline,carbon-zinc, or rechargeable batteries. Remove and immediately recycle or dispose of batteries from equipment not used for an extended period of time according to local regulations Always completely secure the battery compartment. If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product, remove the batteries, and keep them away from children.

Remarks:

  1. When there is an obstacle between the unit and the Remote Control, the Remote Control may not operate.
  2. When direct sunlight, an incandescent lamp, a fluorescent lamp or any other strong light shines on the remote sensor of the unit, the remote operation may be unstable.

PLACEMENT

Placing on the table
When placing the Sound Bar on an entertainment centre, bookshelf, or any type of enclosed space, be sure to allow space around the Sound Bar for ventilation. MOUNTING
Mounting the Sound Bar onto a wall. We recommend having this Sound Bar professionally mounted. By using a wall mounting bracket, the Sound Bar can be mounted onto a wall.

GENERAL OPERATION

  1. Connect the AC/DC adapter to the unit and wall outlet.
  2. Press the Standby/Source Button on the unit or the Power Button on the remote control to power on the unit; press and hold the Standby/Source Button on the unit or press the Power Button on the remote control to power off.
  3. Press the Standby/Source Buttons on the unit or the MODE Button on the remote to switch to different modes.
  4. During playing:
    • Press the BASS+ or BASS- Button to adjust the bass level.
    • Press the EQ Button to switch to the desired equalizer mode.
    • Press the VOL+ or VOL- Button to adjust the volume.
    • Press the Mute Button on the remote to mute the sound on the unit, and press the button to resume.
    • Press the TREBLE-/TREBLE+ Button to adjust the treble level.
    • Press the BT Button on the remote to turn to BT mode.
  5. When finished listening, press the Power & button to enter standby mode
  6. If the unit is not used for a long period of time, please disconnect the power.

BLUETOOTH OPERATION

  1. Power on the unit.
  2. Press the Standby/Source on the unit or BT Button on the remote to switch to BT mode.
  3. Turn on the Bluetooth-compatible device and enter pairing mode.
  4. When the Bluetooth device finds the unit, “MX-SBW510” will appear on the display of the device. After a successful connected, a sound will be heard.
  5. During playback:
    • Press the is button on the Remote Control to skip to the previous or next track.
    • Press the button on the Remote Control or PLAY Button on the unit to play or pause.
  6. To pair another Bluetooth Device, disconnect the Bluetooth on the current device and then pair the new device following the above operations.

Note:
After first time pairing, the unit will connect to the last paired Bluetooth Device when both are within working range.

**OPTICAL IN OPERATION

Before connecting, disconnect the power.
Hear audio from the Optical Out Jack from an external Video Player or Television.

  1. Connect one end of the optical connection cable (not supplied) to the OPTICAL IN jack on the rear of the unit.
  2. Connect the other end to the OPTICAL OUT jack on the TV Back panel.
  3. Power on the unit.
  4. Press the MODE Button on the remote or the Standby/Source Button on the unit repeatedly to switch to the OPTICAL-IN mode.
  5. Play the audio in the external device as usual and set the desired volume.

  1. Connect as illustated above and power on the unit and TV.
  2. Press the Standby/Source Button on the unit or the MODE Button on the remote repeatedly until hearing “HDMI”.
  3. The audio will play through the unit.

USB PLAYBACK

  1. Power on the unit.
  2. Plug a USB device into the USB port at the rear panel of the soundbar. It will automatically play the music of the USB.
  3. Set the desired volume by pressing the VOL+/- Button on the unit or Remote Control.
  4. Press the ka button on the Remote Control to skip to the previous or next track.
  5. Press the button on the Remote Control or PLAY Button on the unit to play or pause.
  6. Press the Repeat Button on Remote Control to repeat the playing track.

LINE IN OPERATION

  1. Plug one end of the RCA Cable into the LINE IN jack.
  2. Plug the other end of the RCA Cable into the RCA Out jack on the external device that support the Audio Out.
  3. Power on the unit as previously explained.
  4. Press Stadby/Source Button on the unit or MODE Button on Remote Control to switch to the LINE IN mode.
  5. Power on the connected external device and start playback as usual.

ADDING SUBWOOFER AND SURROUND SPEAKERS

  1. Connect the cables as above.
  2. Power on the unit.
  3. Play music and set the desired volume.

Radiation Exposure
For safety reasons, maintain a minimum distance of 20cm between the radiator of the equipment and your body during installation and operation.

Operate the device according to the provided instructions in the user manual to avoid undesired operation and maintain compliance with FCC regulations.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Never try to repair the product yourself. If you have problems using this product, check the following before you request services.

System
The unit will not turn on. Check for properly connected power. The unit has no response to button pressing. Restore the unit to factory settings.

Sound
No sound from the unit. Make sure that the unit is no muted. Select the correct audio input source on the remote control or front panel. Connect the unit to your TV or other devices properly.

Distorted sound or echo
If you play audio from your TV through the unit, make sure that your TV is muted or the built-in TV speaker is set to OFF.

Bluetooth

  • A device cannot be connected to the unit.
  • Check if you have enabled Bluetooth on the device.
  • If your Bluetooth device has ever been paired with the unit, unpair the unit from the Bluetooth device, and then pair the Bluetooth device to the unit again.
  • Poor audio quality from a connected Bluetooth device
  • The Bluetooth reception is poor. Move the source device closer to the unit, or remove any obstacle between the source device and the unit.
  • The connected Bluetooth device connects and disconnects constantly.
