VIPER 900 Series Slingshot Machine

Specifications

  • Product Name: Viper Vehicle Telematics

Product Usage Instructions

  1. Locate the vehicle CAN tee cable (P/N 115-0172-602) and connect it to the diagnostic port on the machine.
  2. Connect the opposite end of the vehicle CAN tee cable to Port 5 at the back side of the Viper 4/4+.

AGCO ROGATOR C Installation

  1. Disconnect the X-63 connector plugged into the front bulkhead connector at the electrical panel on the right side of the cab.
  2. Remove the retaining nut from the bulkhead connector and pull the connector out of the electrical panel.
  3. Remove the dust plug from cavity #19 and #20 of the connector.
  4. Insert the yellow wire into cavity #19 and the green wire into cavity #20 of the Raven vehicle CAN cable (P/N 115-2001-074).
  5. Connect the X-59 connector to the Raven vehicle CAN cable.
  6. Reinstall the bulkhead connector and reconnect the X-63 connector.

Fendt Rogator 900 Series Installation

  1. Remove the Access Cover and Bulkhead Plate.
  2. Disconnect the 12 12-pin connector from the ECU and pull it out through the bulkhead plate opening.
  3. Connect cable (P/N 115-2001-078) to the 12 12-pin connector and insert the remaining connector into the ECU.
  4. Insert pins from the ECU Cable into pin locations 22 and 23 in the bulkhead plate connector.
  5. Disconnect the corresponding connector from the bulkhead plate and insert pins from Tee Adapter Viper 4+ Cable (P/N 115-2001-077) into pin locations 22 and 23 in the bulkhead plate connector.

VIPER VEHICLE TELEMATICS INSTALLATION

  • To access machine performance information, the Viper 4+ must be connected to the vehicle CAN bus of the machine.

UNIVERSAL INSTALLATION

  1. Locate the vehicle CAN tee cable (P/N 115-0172-602) and connect it to the diagnostic port located on the machine.
    NOTE: If another device is already installed in the diagnostic port, relocate the previously installed device to the spare diagnostic port on the vehicle CAN tee cable.VIPER-900-Series-Slingshot-Machine-

  2. Connect the opposite end of the vehicle CAN tee cable to Port 5 at the back side of the Viper 4/4+.
    NOTE: If another cable is already connected to Port 5, relocate the previously installed cable to the mating connector on the vehicle CAN tee cable.VIPER-900-Series-Slingshot-Machine-FIG-4

  3. Remove the dust plug from cavity #19 and from cavity #20 of the connector.

  6. Connect the X-59 connector to the Raven vehicle CAN cable.VIPER-900-Series-Slingshot-Machine-FIG-8
  7. Reinstall the bulkhead connector and reconnect the X-63 connector.

FENDT ROGATOR 900 SERIES INSTALLATION

  3. Disconnect the 12-pin connector from the ECU.VIPER-900-Series-Slingshot-Machine-FIG-11
  4. Pull out the 12 12-pin connector through the bulkhead plate opening.
  5. Connect the cable (P/N 115-2001-078) to the 12 12-pin connector that was previously removed from the ECU.
  6. Connect the remaining connector to the ECU.

  9. Inset the Pins from the Tee Adapter Viper 4+ Cable (P/N 115-2001-077) into pin locations 22 and 23 in the bulkhead plate connector.VIPER-900-Series-Slingshot-Machine-FIG-16
  10. Route the Tee Adapter Viper 4+ Cable along existing harnesses.VIPER-900-Series-Slingshot-Machine-FIG-17
  11. Disconnect the CAN cable from the rear of the Viper 4.VIPER-900-Series-Slingshot-Machine-FIG-18
  12. Connect the Tee Adapter Viper 4+ Cable (P/N 115-2001-077) to the CAN Cable that was removed from the Viper 4.
  13. Connect the remaining connector to the rear of the Viper 4.
  14. Install the Access Panel and Bulkhead Plate.
  15. Install the Bulkhead Plate Connector.
  16. Secure the Viper Tee Adapter Cable with tie straps.
