FAQ

Troubleshooting Common Issues

  • The plane is beeping after a crash or landing and no longer responds to the remote.
  • Remote beeps multiple times during the flight.
  • The plane cannot maintain altitude or control properly.
  • Remote does not connect to the plane or beeps intermittently.
  • The plane bounces around during take-off or does not respond to remote signals.

If you encounter any issues, follow these steps:

  • Turn off both the remote and plane, then turn them back on to restore normal controls.
  • If flying out of range, turn back immediately to prevent losing the remote connection.
  • If the plane has flown out of range, it will auto-land for safety and start beeping to help you locate it.
  • If the plane battery is low, recharge it to full power.
  • If remote batteries are low, replace them with fresh ones.
  • If take-off fails, ensure a smooth surface or use a fully charged battery for runway take-off.

CHARGING PLANE BATTERY

  • Remove the battery from a plane and attach it to the charging cable. (Use included cable only)SKY-VIPER-18601TX-SkyViper-Vector-Performance-Stunt-Jet-FIG-1
  • Once charged, disconnect the battery from the cable and reattach it to a plane. Tuck back into place and secure the door with the screw. The remote will beep 1x every couple of seconds when the LiPo battery runs low

FLY MORE!

  • Why wait for your battery to recharge? Increase your flight time with an extra battery on standby! (Sold separately).
  • Sky Viper 500mAh LiPo battery recommended, or comparable 3.7V LiPo battery with JST connector plug.

REMOTE BATTERIES

Insert batteries as shown. Replace the door and secure it with a screw. Remote will beep 2x every couple of seconds when batteries run low and need to be replaced.

LANDING GEAR INSTALLATION

  • The landing gear is recommended when landing on concrete or other smooth paved surfaces to avoid damage.
  • Firmly insert wheels into slots as shown, ensuring that the longer wheel is inserted in front, with the wheel pointing forward. The back wheels should point outward

INSPECTING AND REPLACING DAMAGED PROPS

  • For best performance, periodically inspect prop blades for damage or debris wrapped around the motor shaft.
  • If damaged, firmly hold the motor housing and pull the damaged blade from the shaft. Make note of the A or B marking on a prop and replace them with the corresponding new prop.

IMPACT RESISTANT DESIGN

  • Vector is designed to take the abuse of learning to fly. However, if the plane is damaged from severe impact or rough extended use, it can likely be sufficiently repaired with the included mending tape.

TROUBLESHOOTING

  • A plane is beeping after a crash or landing and no longer responds to remote
    • Turn the plane off then on again to deactivate crash detection (auto-beep) and restore normal plane controls.
  • Remote beeps 5x quickly during flight, while a plane is far away.
    • You are in danger of flying out of range. Turn back immediately to prevent losing the remote connection.
  • Remote beeps 5x quickly during flight, and the plane starts radial descent.
    • A plane has flown out of range. Plane auto-lands for safety and starts auto-beeping to help you locate it.
  • The plane cannot maintain altitude and drifts to the ground.
    • The plane LED is flashing.
    • Remote starts to beep 1x every couple of seconds.
    • Plane battery is running low. Recharge the LiPo battery to full power.
  • Remote beeps 2x every couple of seconds and/or doesn’t connect to the plane.
    • Remote batteries are running low. Replace with fresh batteries.
  • The plane bounces around or flips over when attempting runway take-off.
    • The take-off surface may be too bumpy or the plane battery may no longer have enough power to complete a runway take-off. Try again with a freshly charged battery, or launch by hand instead.
  • A plane does not respond to a remote.
    • The plane starts to fly erratically or becomes difficult to control.
    • Turn off both the remote and the plane. Unplug then re-attach the plane battery. Ensure remote batteries are new and the plane battery is fully charged, then reattempt the flight.
