WHEN USING YOUR SHARK® STEAM & SPRAY™ PRO MOP, BASIC SAFETY PRECAUTIONS SHOULD ALWAYS BE FOLLOWED, INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING YOUR SHARK® STEAM & SPRAY™ PRO MOP.

DANGER OF SCALDING.
Please use caution when using the steam mop. The steam emitted from the steam mop is very hot.

POLARIZED PLUG
To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. DO NOT force into outlet or try to modify to fit.

When using an electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be observed, including the following:

CAUTION: Keep all Shark® branded cleaners out of the reach of children. Eye irritant. Should some of the Shark® branded cleaners be rubbed or splashed into the eyes, wash out thoroughly with water. If irritation continues, contact a physician. In case of ingestion, drink 16 FL. oz. (2 cups) of water.

WARNING: Your Shark® Steam & Spray™ Pro Mop is designed to clean hard floor surfaces. Do not use on wood or tile floors that are highly worn, unfinished or have a wax or oil finish. Surfaces that have been treated with wax or some no wax floors may be damaged by the cleaning solutions, therefore, it is always recommended to test an isolated area of the surface to be cleaned before proceeding. You should always check the use and care instructions from the floor manufacturer.

CAUTION – SHOCK HAZARD. To provide continued protection against shock, disconnect from power supply when not in use.

1. DO NOT use outdoors.
2. Unplug from electrical outlet when not in use and before servicing.
3. DO NOT leave the appliance unattended when plugged in. Always unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet when not in use or before servicing. Remove the 4 AA batteries if the appliance will not be used for an extended period of time.

4. I f hard floor cleaner is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, return it to EURO-PRO Operating LLC for examination, repair, or adjustment. Incorrect re-assembly or repair can cause a risk of electrical shock or injury to persons when the appliance is used.

5. DO NOT attempt to repair. No user serviceable parts inside.
6. DO NOT handle plug or hard floor cleaner with wet hands or operate the appliance without shoes.
7. DO NOT run the hard floor cleaner over the power cord, close a door on the cord or pull cord around sharp corners.
8. DO NOT use an extension cord.
9. DO NOT allow the appliance to be used as a toy.
Close supervision is necessary when used by or near children, pets or plants.
10. DO NOT use for space heating purposes.
11. DO NOT put any objects into openings. DO NOT use with any opening blocked.
12. Use only on flat, horizontal surfaces. DO NOT use on walls, counters or windows.
13. DO NOT put hands or feet under the hard floor cleaner.
14. Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers and all parts of the body away from openings and moving parts.
15. Do not immerse in water.
16. Use only as described in this manual.
17. To reduce the risk of fire and electric shock – use ONLY SHARK® cleaning solutions intended for use with this appliance.
18. DO NOT add any cleaning solutions in the Shark® Steam & Spray™ Pro Mop other than the Shark® cleaners. Use of other scented perfumes, oils, or any other chemicals may damage or clog the unit and void the warranty.
19. DO NOT mix other cleaners with the Shark® cleaners as this could affect the effectiveness of the appliance.
20. NEVER use the Shark® Steam & Spray™ Pro Mop to clean up or absorb flammable or combustible materials.
21. DO NOT leave the Shark® Steam & Spray™ Pro Mop in one spot on any surface for any period of time with a wet cleaning pad attached as this will damage your floors.

22. When cleaning the Shark® Steam & Spray™ Pro Mop unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet and clean with a dry or damp cloth. Do not pour water or use alcohol, benzene or paint thinner on the unit.
23. Unplug the appliance before attaching the different mop heads or attaching or removing the pads.
24. Use extreme caution when using this appliance to clean stairs.
25. Only use manufacturer’s recommended attachments.
26. DO NOT use the Shark® Steam & Spray™ Pro Mop steam head without a pad attached.
27. DO NOT leave the batteries in the unit. Remove the batteries when not in use.
28. DO NOT incinerate batteries or expose to high temperatures. They may explode.
29. This unit is not intended for use with rechargeable batteries. Use of rechargeable batteries can damage the unit or lead to other hazards.
30. Leaks from battery cells can occur under extreme conditions. If the liquid, which is 20-35% solution of potassium hydroxide, gets on the skin wash quickly with soap and water or neutralize with a mild acid such as lemon juice or vinegar. If the liquid gets into the eyes, flush them immediately with clean water for a minimum of 10 minutes. Seek medical attention.
31. Keep your work area well lit.
32. Store the Shark® Steam & Spray™ Pro Mop indoors in a cool, dry place.
33. To avoid circuit overload, do not operate another appliance on the same socket (circuit) as the Shark® Steam & Spray™ Pro Mop.

IMPORTANT: Always make sure that the Shark® Steam & Spray™ Pro Mop is UNPLUGGED from the wall. It is recommended to remove the batteries while the unit is not in use. Use ONLY Cleansers supplied by Shark®. The addition of other chemicals or cleaning solutions may damage the appliance, void the warranty and could be unsafe for you and your family.
1. Insert the top part of the pole into the bottom part of the pole. Push the two parts together until you hear it “click” into place. (fig. 1)
2. Remove the battery cover and insert the 4 AA batteries. Replace the battery cover. (fig. 2)

3. Connect the body of the unit with the selected mop head. If selecting the steam head, you have the option of filling the steam head at the sink or using the fill flask to fill the water tank. Plug into the electrical outlet. (fig. 3)

NOTE: To prolong the life of your Shark® Steam & Spray™ Pro Mop, we recommend using distilled water.

4. Insert the selected cleanser into the unit. Push it down to make sure that it is well inserted. You will hear an audible “click” when the cleanser bottle is inserted properly. (fig. 4)

NOTE: To remove the Cleanser bottle, hold it and pull it up.

STEAM & SPRAY CLEANING

WARNING: Do not use on unsealed wood or unglazed ceramic floors. Do not use on wood or tile floors that are highly worn, unfinished or have a wax or oil finish.
It is always recommended to test an isolated area to be cleaned before proceeding. You should always check the use and care instructions from the floor manufacturer.

IMPORTANT: When cleaning with the steam head, make sure that either the disposable or the washable cleaning pad is attached to the bottom of the steam head.

IMPORTANT: Always make sure the floors are swept or vacuumed before steam cleaning.
1. Connect the body of the unit with the steam head. (fig. 5)
2. Open the filling hole on the steam head and fill with water. (fig. 5)
3. Attach the cleaning pad onto the bottom of the steam head. (fig. 5)

4. Insert the Steam Energized Hard Floor cleanser into the unit. (fig. 6)
5. Plug into an electrical outlet.
6. Lightly step on the back of the steam head to release the handle to start automatic electronic steaming. (fig. 7)
7. Press the Spray Button to apply cleaning solution to sticky stuck on messes as needed. Repeat until the entire floor is cleaned. No rinsing is required. (fig. 7)
8. Once finished, step on the pad and lift the unit to remove the pad. (fig. 8)
9. Unplug the steam head from the electrical outlet and press the head release button to remove from the main body of the unit. (fig. 9)

IMPORTANT: Never leave the steam head with a damp pad on any floor surface for any amount of time as this may damage the floor.

HARD FLOOR MOPPING

HARD FLOOR MOPPING

IMPORTANT: When cleaning with the spray head, make sure that either the disposable or the washable cleaning pad is attached to the bottom of the spray head.

IMPORTANT: Always make sure the floors are swept or vacuumed before cleaning.

1. Connect the body of the unit with the spray head. (fig. 10)

2. Insert the Steam Energized Hard Floor cleanser into the unit. (fig. 10)
3. Attach the cleaning pad onto the bottom of the spray head. (fig. 10)
4. Press the Spray Button to apply solution to the floor that is to be cleaned. Repeat until the entire floor is cleaned. No rinsing is required. (fig. 11)
5. Once finished, step on the pad and lift the unit to remove the pad. (fig. 12)

IMPORTANT: Never leave the spray head with a damp pad on any floor surface for any amount of time as this may damage the floor.

FAQ

Q. The Shark® Steam & Spray™ Pro Mop leaves a foam on hard floors.
A. The cleaning pad is likely too saturated.
Replace with a clean, dry pad.

Q. My floors seem cloudy after cleaning.
A. The cleaning pad may be dirty. Replace with a clean pad.

OR

A. Shark® Steam & Spray™ Pro Mop washable cleaning pad was washed with a powder detergent and may be damaged and require replacement. Never use powder detergents.
Only use liquid detergent to launder the washable cleaning pad.

OR

A Shark® Steam & Spray™ Pro Mop may have been left in the same spot for too long with a wet cleaning pad. Never leave the unit with a wet pad in one spot for too long.

OR

A. This may be leftover from past cleaners that were used on the floor surface. Use the Steam Energized Hard Floor Cleaner a few more times and see if the leftover cloudiness is removed. If this does not work, we suggest rinsing the floor with water and letting it dry. One or more rinses generally removes the residue. A more stubborn case may require you to rinse the floor with a mix of one part vinegar to 2 parts water. Then use the Steam Energized Hard Floor Cleaner again with a clean pad.

GENERAL TIPS

TROUBLE-SHOOTING GUIDE

Cleaner not coming out from spray nozzle.

  •  Check to see that the batteries are inserted properly into the battery compartment. If there are batteries, then insert new ones.
  • Make sure that the cleanser bottle is inserted all the way in. You should hear an audible “click” when inserted.
  • Check that there is enough cleaning solution in the cleanser bottle. If not, then insert a new bottle.
  • There may be air in the system. Hold down the spray button for 5 – 10 seconds until the solution comes out.

Shark® Steam & Spray™ Pro Mop will not turn on.

  • Make sure that the batteries are inserted.
  • Make sure that the Steam Head is plugged in.

Shark® Steam & Spray™ Pro Mop will not make steam.

  • Make sure that there is water in the water tank.
  • Make sure that the Steam Head is plugged into an electrical outlet.

Shark® Steam & Spray™ Pro Mop is squirting foam from the spray nozzle.

  • The cleaner bottle is not firmly inserted into the unit: Make sure that you hear an audible “click” when you insert the cleaner bottle into the unit.

Shark® Steam & Spray™ Pro Mop left a white spot on the floor.

  • Check to see if the cleaning pad is soaked through. We recommend that replace the cleaning pad.
  • Make sure that the cleaning pad is attached correctly.

Shark® Steam & Spray™ Pro Mop leaves water on the floor.

  • Do not leave the unit on the floor with a damp cleaning pad.
  • I f you are using tap water, we recommend switching to distilled water.
  • Make sure that the cap on the water reservoir of the steam head is securely closed.

Floors are cloudy, spotty or streaky after cleaning.

  • The cleaning pad may be dirty. Replace with a clean one.
  • I f the washable cleaning pad was washed with a powder detergent, then it may be damaged and require replacement.
  • The steam mop may have been left in one spot for too long with a damp cleaning pad.
  • This may be leftover from past cleaners that were used on the floor surface. Use the Steam Energized Hard Floor Cleaner a few more times and see if the leftover cloudiness is removed. If this does not work, we suggest rinsing the floor with water and letting it dry. One or more rinses generally removes the residue. A more stubborn case may require you to rinse the floor with a mix of one part vinegar to 2 parts water. Then use the Steam Energized Hard Floor Cleaner again with a clean pad.

ONE (1) YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

EURO-PRO Operating LLC warrants this product to be free from material defects and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase when utilized for normal household use, subject to the following conditions, exclusions and exceptions.
The liability of EURO-PRO Operating LLC is limited solely to the cost of the repair or replacement of the unit at our option. This Limited Warranty does not cover normal wear of parts and does not apply to any unit that has been tampered with or used for commercial purposes. This Limited Warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, abuse, negligent handling or damage due to faulty packaging or mishandling in transit. This Limited Warranty does not cover damage or defects caused by or resulting from damages from shipping or repairs, service or alteration to the product or any of its parts, which have been performed by a repair person not authorized by EURO-PRO Operating LLC.

If your appliance fails to operate properly while in use under normal household conditions within the warranty period, you may return the complete appliance and accessories with proof of purchase and date, freight prepaid. If the appliance is found by EURO-PRO Operating LLC to be defective, in EURO- PRO Operating LLC’s sole discretion, we will repair or replace it free of charge. Proof of purchase is required and a fee of $19.95 will apply to cover the cost of return freight.*

Non-durable parts including, without limitation, filters, brushes and electrical parts which normally require replacement are specifically excluded from warranty.

This Limited Warranty is extended to the original purchaser of the unit and excludes all other legal, implied and/or conventional warranties. The responsibility of EURO-PRO Operating LLC if any, is limited to the specific obligations expressly assumed by it under the terms of this Limited Warranty. In no event is EURO-PRO Operating LLC liable for incidental or consequential damages to anyone of any nature whatsoever. Some states do not permit the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above may not apply to you.

This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state or province to province.

*IMPORTANT: Carefully pack item to avoid damage in shipping. Be sure to include proof of purchase date and to attach a tag to item before packing including your name, complete address and phone number with a note giving purchase information, model number and what you believe is the problem with the item. – Remove any cleaning pads from the bottom of the Steam Head or the Spray Head.
– Empty any water that is left in the water reservoir of the Steam Head.
– Remove the batteries from the main unit.
