INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFE USE
This appliance should only be used for domestic cleaning, as described in this user guide. Please ensure that this guide is fully understood before operating the appliance. Do not leave the appliance plugged in. Always switch off and remove the plug from the socket after use, or before cleaning the appliance or any maintenance task.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision. If the power cord is damaged stop using the appliance immediately. To avoid a safety hazard, an authorised HOOVER service engineer must replace the power cord. Keep hands, feet, loose clothing and hair away from rotating brushes. Use only attachments, consumables or spares recommended or supplied by HOOVER.
- Static electricity: Some carpets can cause a small build-up of static electricity. Any static discharge is not hazardous to health.
- Do not use your appliance out of doors or on any wet surface or for wet pick up.
- Do not pick up hard or sharp objects, matches, hot ashes, cigarette ends or other similar items.
- Do not spray with or pick up flammable liquids, cleaning fluids, aerosols or their vapors.
- Do not run over the power cord when using your appliance or remove the plug by pulling on the power cord.
- Do not continue to use your appliance if it appears faulty.
- HOOVER service: To ensure the continued safe and efficient operation of this appliance we recommend that any servicing or repairs are only carried out by an authorised HOOVER service engineer
- Do not stand on or wrap the cord around arms or legs when using your appliance.
- Do not use the appliance to clean animals or people.
- Do not position the appliance above you when cleaning the stairs.

Instead it must be handed over to the applicable collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. Disposal must be carried out in accordance with local environmental regulations for waste disposal. PREPARING YOUR CLEANER
- Remove the accessories from the main packaging. You will find the following:
- Cleaner body
- Cleaner handle
- Parquet nozzle
- Carpet and Floor nozzle (GP)
- Hard Floor Nozzle (HF)
- Carpet Nozzle (CA)
- Mini turbo Nozzle
- Grand Turbo Nozzle
- Assemble the cleaner handle and fix it in position with the supplied screw. [1a,1b]
- Secure the flex tube to the rear of the cleaner handle. [1b]
- Secure the nozzle to the product. [1c]
- Certain Models Only
- For certain models only, nozzles may vary according to model
For models equipped with Carpet & Floor nozzle
Secure the nozzle to the product. Press the floor type selector pedal on the nozzle [1d] to select the ideal cleaning mode for the floor type.
- Hard Floor: Brushes are lowered to protect the floor.
- Carpet: Brushes are raised for the deepest cleaning.
For models equipped with a Parquet nozzle
Secure the nozzle to the product in the same way as the carpet and floor nozzle. For parquet floors and other delicate floors.
For models equipped with a mini-turbo nozzle
Ideal to clean soft furnishings and for pet hair removal.
- The mini-turbo nozzle can be connected directly to the Flexi tube handle or the lance. [2a]
- If any blockages are encountered, please open the inspection cover on the underside. [2b]
For models equipped with Grand Turbo Nozzle
Secure the nozzle to the product in the same way as the carpet and floor nozzle. Use the turbo nozzle for deep cleaning on carpets.
Cord storage: To store the cord after cleaning wrap the cord around the two cord hooks. [3]
USING YOUR CLEANER
Power switch
- To switch the cleaner on, rotate the power control knob. [4]
- Rotate the knob to the correct power level.
- To switch off the product, rotate the same knob.
Using the Flexi tube with accessories
The Flexi tube gives you maximum flexibility of usage. It can be used alone or combined with the accessories, as desired. To vacuum with the supplied accessories:
- Select the accessory mode by rotating the carry handle/accessory mode activator to the accessory position until the locked-in position. [5]
- Remove the Flexi tube from the location in the back of the cleaner handle. [6]
- To use the extension tube: remove the tube from the door by unclipping it from the top. [7] Attach to the flexible. [8a]
- To use the dusting brush: remove the tool from the location in the body of the product by pressing the middle of the component [9a] and then unclipping from the top. [9b] Attach to the flexible. [8b]
- To return to floor vacuuming push the floor mode button. [10]
IMPORTANT: When using cleaning tools, the cleaner must be kept in the upright position, and held. It must not be used in the stand-alone position without the user holding the product. [11]
CLEANER MAINTENANCE
Replacing the disposable bag
- Lay the cleaner on a flat surface, pull back the door release button and remove the bag door. [12]
- Remove the disposable bag, close the flap to lock the contents and dispose. [13]
- Take a new bag and fit the collar with the location in the main body and rotate until fixed. [14]
- Locate tabs on door as shown and close door.
Attention: This product is fitted with a mechanism that prevents the door
closing when there is no bag fitted.
NOTE: The bag may need changed frequently when picking up material such
as powder or fine dust or when cleaning new carpets.
Cleaning the washable pre-motor filter
- Lay the cleaner on a flat surface, pull back the door release button and remove the bag door. [12]
- Remove the old pre-motor filter by pressing the finger tab to release it. [15]
- Gently tap the filter against the side of a bin to release excess dust. [16]
- If deeper cleaning is required: Wash the filter thoroughly under hand warm water until the water runs clean. [17]
- Remove excess water by shaking and leave to dry for 24 hours. DO NOT USE HOT WATER OR DETERGENTS. [18]
- Refit bag door as above.
IMPORTANT: For optimum performance, shake off excess dust from the filters regularly. We recommend that the filter is washed every 3 months.
NOTE: Do not use the cleaner without filters assembled.
ACCESSORIES
- To obtain the best performance and efficiency it is recommended that the correct nozzles are used for the main cleaning operations.
- These nozzles are indicated in the diagrams by the letters GP, HF or CA.
- A nozzle-type GP can be used to clean both carpet and hard floor.
- A nozzle-type HF is suitable for use only on hard floors.
- A nozzle of type CA is suitable for use only on carpets.
- The other nozzles are accessories for specialist cleaning tasks and are recommended for occasional use only.
- All accessories can be fitted to the end of the handle or the end of the telescopic tube.
Parquet Nozzle: For parquet floors and other delicate floors.
Mini Turbo Nozzle: Use the mini turbo nozzle on stairs or for deep cleaning on textile surfaces and other hard-to-clean areas. Particularly suitable for allergen removal.
IMPORTANT: Do not use the turbo and mini turbo nozzles on rugs with long fringes, animal hides and carpet piles deeper than 15mm. Do not keep the nozzle stationary while the brush is rotating.
USER CHECKLIST
Should you have a problem with your product, complete the simple user checklist before calling Hoover customer service.
- Is there a working electricity supply to the product? Check with another electrical product.
- Is the bag full? Inspect and replace.
- Is the hose blocked? Check by stretching to the full length.
- Is the product inlet blocked? Check by removing the bag and checking the bag inlet.
- Is the filter blocked? Check by removing and clean.
