FAQS

What Are the Features and Benefits of the Dream Station 2?

he Dream Station 2 Auto CPAP, a clinically-proven integrated sleep solution, features advanced comfort features designed to enhance your ease of use. Whether you’re shopping for your first CPAP machine or have been diagnosed with sleep apnea for a while and simply want a new CPAP set-up, the Dream Station 2 is, well, a dream.

Is the Dream Station 2 part of the recall?

On Sept. 1, Philips announced that it had received authorization from the FDA to begin its repair and replacement programs for recalled devices. The sound abatement foam in recalled devices will be replaced with a new material. The company also is replacing some Dream Station CPAP devices with Dream Station 2 devices.

What is the difference between Philips Dream Station and Dream Station 2?

The Dream Station 2 Auto CPAP Advanced Machine is  29% smaller and 32% lighter than the original model. Weighing in at roughly 2.3 pounds, this machine takes up minimal space on the nightstand. It can also be conveniently packed in luggage or a carry-on to bring while traveling.

Does Dream Station 2 automatically adjust pressure?

Those new to CPAP can struggle to adapt to prescribed pressure settings, but the new Ramp Plus feature is designed to ease you into your sleep therapy at a lower, more comfortable pressure setting while you drift to sleep.  After 30 minutes, the Dream Station 2 will make automatic adjustments to meet your pressure needs.

Can you use the Dream Station 2 without the humidifier?

Dream Station 2’s humidification seamlessly attaches with the rest of the device. Although it comes apart in various pieces,  you cannot actually disconnect the entire humidifier and use main unit independently. Unlike it’s predecessor, you can only turn the humidifier off if you choose not to use it.

Does Dream Station 2 Use same filters as Dream Station?

They are original Philips Respironics branded filters compatible with all Dream Station 2 CPAP & BiLevel machines. Foam Pollen Filters, from Philips Respironics, are required for use with all Dream Station 2 CPAP & BiPAP machines.

Can you use So Clean with Dream Station 2?

Adapter for Philips Respironics Dream Station 2 to ensure compatibility with So Clean 2 CPAP Cleaner. This kit includes one So Clean Express Adapter and two 12mm Hose Sleeves. The adapter is necessary to connect the Philips Respironics Dream Station 2 to your So Clean.

Is So Clean being recalled?

The use of an ozone cleaner such as the So Clean can make this worse. While the number of people actually experiencing problems has been quite small, there is enough concern to trigger this recall.
