Safety instructions

The product is intended for private, non-commercial use only.
Protect the product from dirt, moisture, and overheating and use it in dry rooms only.
Do not use the product in the immediate vicinity of heaters, other heat sources, or in direct sunlight.
Do not drop the product and do not expose it to any major shocks.
Do not attempt to service or repair the product yourself. Leave any and all service work to qualified experts.
Do not open the device or continue to operate it if it becomes damaged.
Dispose of packaging material immediately in accordance with the locally applicable regulations.
Do not modify the product in any way. Doing so voids the warranty.
As with all electrical products, this device should be kept out of the reach of children.

Start-up and operation

Note –USB 1.1 compatibility

The USB 2.0 chip card reader is backward-compatible with USB 1.1.
No additional drivers are required. Installation takes place automatically.

To use the chip card reader, you will need a smart card or id card as well as suitable software. The software can be obtained from your bank, your local council, or other approved institutions. This software is not included with the product.
Other free or purchasable software and chip cards that allow you to use your chip card reader can be found on the Internet.

Connect the USB 2.0 chip card reader to a spare USB port on your computer.
During the data transfer, the control light lights up green.

ID function

The product supports ID cards from the countries listed above.

Care and maintenance

Only clean this product with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth and do not use aggressive cleaning agents.
Ensure that no water is able to enter the product.
