Safety instructions

  • The product is intended for private, non-commercial use only.
  • Protect the product from dirt, moisture, and overheating and use it in dry rooms only.
  • Do not use the product in the immediate vicinity of heaters, other heat sources, or in direct sunlight.

The chip card reader supports the following operating systems:

  • Windows 11 /10/8.1 /8/7 Mac OS 10.8 ≤
    Chip card interface:

  • Compatible with the PC/SC specification

  • Supports Microsoft Smart Card for Windows

  • Supported memory chip cards: HLE4418, SLE4428, SLE4432, SLE4442, AT88SC1608, AT45D041

  • Smartcard(processor chip card) support: as per ISO 7816-1, 2, 3, 4; protocols T=0, T=1

  • APIs: PC/SC, PKCS#11

  • Cardvoltage supply: 1.8V/3V/5V

 Start-up and operation

Note –USB 1.1 compatibility

  • The USB 2.0 chip card reader is backward-compatible with USB 1.1.
  • No additional drivers are required. Installation takes place automatically.

To use the chip card reader, you will need a smart card or id card as well as suitable software. The software can be obtained from your bank, your local council, or other approved institutions. This software is not included with the product.
Other free or purchasable software and chip cards that allow you to use your chip card reader can be found on the Internet.

  • Connect the USB 2.0 chip card reader to a spare USB port on your computer.
  • During the data transfer, the control light lights up green.

ID function

 Care and maintenance

  • Only clean this product with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth and do not use aggressive cleaning agents.
  • Ensure that no water is able to enter the product.
