ingredients into small pieces before blending.
Add a small amount of cold liquid or reduce the quantity of the ingredients in
the mixing bowl if the blades are not running smoothly.
Caution: Exercise caution when handling the stainless steel blade
attachment, as the blades may get hot during use. If blending warm
ingredients, take care when removing the stainless steel blade attachment, as
there may be a pressure build-up from blending, which could cause the blended
ingredients to spout from the lid.
Do not:
Attempt to remove the stainless steel blade attachment until the blades
have fully stopped moving.
Dry blend ingredients for more than 45 seconds at a time. Warning: Do not
blend hot liquid or food. Never exceed the max. fill mark when adding
ingredients to the mixing bowl, as this could cause spillage and may damage
the food processor. The food processor must not be operated when the mixing
bowl is empty, cracked or broken.
**Care and Maintenance
**
Before attempting any cleaning or maintenance, switch off and unplug the food
processor from the mains power supply and allow it to cool fully.

Before First Use
Before using the food processor for the first time, wash all of the
accessories in warm, soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
ipe the food processor base unit with a soft, damp cloth and allow it to dry
thoroughly.
Never touch the blades; the stainless steel blade attachment should be washed
using a brush and dried carefully.
Do not immerse the food processor base unit in water or any other liquid.
Note: When using the food processor for the first time, a slight odour may be emitted. This is normal and will soon subside. Allow for sufficient ventilation around the food processor.
Assembling/Using the Compact Prep Pro
All attachments must be securely fitted before use; do not attempt to remove them until the blades have stopped moving.
STEP 1: Before connecting to the mains power supply, position the food
processor base unit onto a flat, stable surface, at a height that is
comfortable for the user.
STEP 2: Place the mixing bowl onto the food processor base unit and twist
it in an anticlockwise direction until it locks into place.
STEP 3: Position the desired attachment onto the shaft in the centre of
the mixing bowl and press it firmly down until it locks into place. The blade
attachment can be used for blending, while the whipping disc can be used to
whip cream quickly. STEP 4: Add the ingredients to the mixing bowl, taking
care not to exceed the max. fill mark. If there are not many ingredients, add
the spacer onto the shaft in the mixing bowl after the ingredients have been
added.
STEP 5: Place the lid on top of the mixing bowl and turn it in an
anticlockwise direction until it locks into place.
STEP 6: Plugin and switch on the food processor at the mains power
supply.
STEP 7: Press and hold the desired multidirectional button. Using the
forward mode (right button) is useful for grating, chopping or grinding. The
reverse mode (left button) is useful for mixing, stirring, or whipping.
STEP 8: Once finished, switch off and unplug the food processor.
STEP 9: Turn the mixing bowl in a clockwise direction and lift away.
Note: Check that the lid is securely fitted before use.
To prevent the food processor from overheating, do not dry blend ingredients
for more than 45 seconds at a time. If the blades are not running smoothly,
stop the food processor and carefully remove the cross-blade attachment. Add a
small amount of cold liquid or reduce the quantity of the ingredients in the
mixing bowl.
Caution: Take care when handling the cross-blade attachment, as the
blades may get hot during use.
Warning: Do not blend warm or hot liquid or food, as this may cause a
pressure build-up and, in turn, serious injury
Do not operate for long periods of time. Max. operation time is 45 seconds;
allow the food processor to cool for 1 minute before using it again. Using the
food processor for longer than 45 seconds at a time will cause the temperature
to increase, which may, in turn, lead to a pressure build-up.
If this happens, switch off and unplug the food processor from the mains power
supply and allow it to cool thoroughly before attempting to remove the cross-
blade attachment. Do not immerse the mixing bowl in cold water at this time
**Using the Spacer
**
When using the food processor with a small amount of ingredients, the spacer
can be used to keep food near the blades during use.
Use the food processor as normal and after the ingredients have been added,
attach the spacer to the shaft above the ingredients. Fit the lid and continue
to use the food processor as instructed in the section titled
‘Assembling/Using the Compact Prep Pro’.
