PLEASE READ THIS MANUAL CAREFULLY BEFORE OPERATING THE APPLIANCE AND RETAIN THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using this electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
- Read all instructions.
- Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
- To protect against electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug, or sandwich maker in water or any other liquid.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Do not use the appliance for any use other than that intended.
- Unplug the appliance from the outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow the appliance to fully cool before adding or removing parts or cleaning.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in anymanner. Return the appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or electrical or mechanical adjustment.
- To reduce the risk of injury, only use the accessory attachments recommended for use with the appliance.
- Do not let the appliance cord hang over the edge of a table or counter, or touch hotsurfaces.
- Do not place the appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
- The bread may burn when the sandwich maker is in use; as such, you should not use the appliance near or below combustible material, such as curtains.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or a similarly qualified person.
- This device can be used by children from the age of 8 and people with restricted physical, sensory, or intellectual abilities or people without adequate experience and/orunderstanding, if they are supervised or instructed on how to use this device safely and are aware of the resulting risks.
- Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
- The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
- This appliance is for household use only. It does not contain any user-serviceable parts. In the event the appliance malfunctions, return it to the nearest authorized service center for examination, repair, or adjustment.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW
BEFORE FIRST USE
- Remove all packaging material.
- Clean the exterior of the appliance with a slightly damp cloth.
WARNING! Do not submerge the appliance in water or any other liquid.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Smear the cooking plate with butter, margarine, or cooking fat.

Plug the appliance into an electrical socket; the red power light will illuminate.

Close the sandwich maker and allow it to preheat for about three minutes until the green ready light is illuminated.

Fully open the sandwich maker. Place a slice of bread on the bottom plate with the buttered side upwards.

Fill the sandwich, then place another slice of bread on top.

Carefully close the two parts of the sandwich maker together and lock the handle closed.
NOTE: Steam will emit from the opening between the plates while the sandwiches are cooking. Care must be taken to ensure your fingers do not come into contact with hot surfaces or steam.
NOTE: During cooking, the temperature indicator light will cycle on and off while the thermostat maintains the appliance at the right temperature. -
Your sandwich will be cooked within 2-3 minutes. Open the appliance and remove the sandwich using a plastic or wooden spatula. Never use a metal knife as this may damage the non-sticking coating of the appliance.

Close the lid to preserve the heat if you are planning to cook another sandwich.

After use, remove the plug from the socket. When unplugging the appliance, do so by the plug. Neverpull the cord.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- After use and before cleaning, remove the plug from the socket and wait for the appliance to cool down.
- Wipe the inside and the edges of the plate with kitchen roll, an absorbent paper towel, or a soft cloth.
- Should any filling be difficult to remove, pour a little cooking oil onto the plate and wipe off after five minutes when the filling has softened.
- Wipe the outside of the appliance with only a slightly moistened cloth to ensure no moisture, oil, or grease enters the cooling slots.
- Do not clean the inside and outside surface with an abrasive scouring pad or steel wool as this will damage the finish.
- Use only water or recommended liquid to clean the appliance. Do not use any other chemical solution to clean the appliance.
STORAGE
- Always unplug the appliance and ensure it is cool and dry before storage.
- Close the handle lock so the appliance can be stored vertically.
