IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
When using this electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be observed, including the following:
- Read all the instructions.
- Caution Risk of burns. During operation, some external surfaces of the appliance may become very hot. Do not touch hot surfaces and beware of steam coming out of the appliance. Hold the appliance By its handle only.
- To protect against electric shock, do not immerse the cord, plug, or waffle maker in water or any other liquid.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and kn owledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a special cord or assembly available from the manufacturer or its service agent.
- Do not use the appliance other than as intended by the manufacturer.
- Unplug the appliance from the socket when not in use and before cleaning. Allow it to cool down before attaching or detaching parts and before cleaning.
- Do not operate any appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug or after it has malfunctioned or been damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or electrical or mechanical adjustment.
- Do not use the appliance outdoors.
- Do not let the cord hang over the sharp edges of a table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
- When using this product, make sure there is enough space above and to the sides of the waffle maker to allow for air circulation.
- Children and people with restricted physical, sensory or intellectual abilities should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- This appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or a separate remote-control system.

BEFORE FIRST USE
- Remove all packaging material.
- Before first use wipe the appliances internal surfaces with a damp cloth or a sponge.
- Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
- Wipe them dry with a paper towel. Spread a small amount of butter margarine or oil on the inside of the appliance.
- When your appliance heats up for the first time, it may emit a small amount of smoke or a slight odour. This is normal and poses no safety concerns.
INSTRUCTION FOR USE
- Place the appliance on a flat, level surface near an electrical outlet.
- Close the appliance, then plug it into the socket to preheat it. The red indicator and green indicator light up, indicating that the appliance is preheating. Prepare your ingredients while the appliance is preheating.
- When the green indicator light goes off, the preheating process is complete. Brush a small amount of oil onto the plates, then ladle on just enough batter. If necessary, use a spatula to spread the batter evenly. Do not allow the batter to overflow.
- Close the appliance, put the lid on, lock the handle and allow the batter to cook. As baking starts, steam may come out. Do not touch the handle until the steam stops. During the cooking process, you may check to see whether the food is ready.
- 0nce the waffle is cooked to your taste, raise the lid using the handle and use a non-metallic utensil to remove the waffle from the cooking plate.
- lf cooking more than one batch in a session, be sure to lower the lid in between batches to maintain the right cooking temperature.
- When you have finished cooking, unplug the appliance from the socket and leave it open to allow it to cool.
WAFFLE RECIPES
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- After use and before cleaning, remove the plug from the socket and wait for the appliance to cool down.
- Wipe the inside and the edges of the plate with an absorbent paper towel or a soft cloth.
- Should any filling be difficult to remove, pour a little cooking oil onto the plate and wipe off after 5 minutes, when the filling has softened.
- Only wipe the outside with a slightly damp cloth to ensure that no moisture, oil or grease enters the cooling slots.
- Do not clean the inside or outside surface with any abrasive scouring pad or steel wool as this will damage the finish.
- Only use water or a recommended liquid to clean the appliance. Do not use any other chemical solution.
STORAGE
- Always unplug the appliance before storage.
- Always make sure the appliance is cool and dry before storage.
