INTRODUCTION & SETUP

Mains Power

Plug in the mains power plug in to a standard 240VAC mains wall outlet and turn the unit on.
Power: 240VAC

Battery Backup

Backup Batteries: 2 x 1.5V AM Alkaline Batteries (Not Included)

NOTE:
Do not mix old and new batteries.
Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (Ni-Cad, Ni-MH, etc.) batteries

Replace the battery if the device is not used for a prolonged period of time (more than 1 month); Please take the battery out in order to prevent leakage of battery acid.

CLOCK & SLEEP TIMER

Setting the Clock
  1. If in Radio mode, press and hold the /BAND button to turn the unit off.
  2. Press and hold the TIME/MEM button until the display begins to blink, then release the button.
  3. Press the HOUR button to adjust the hour. The PM indicator will light when the hour is set in the PM.
  4. Press the Min button to adjust the minute.
  5. Press the TIME/MEM button to finish setting the lime.

RADIO

Radio Reception
  1. Adjust the position of the Telescopic FM Antenna to improve FM radio reception.

An AM antenna is built into the unit. To improve AM radio reception, adjust the position of the unit.

Saving a Station as a Preset
  1. Follow the instructions for Tuning the AM or FM radio.
  2. Tune to the desired station.
  3. Press and hold the TIME/MEM button and press TUNE+/buttons to choose your desired program location (between P01 and P10) to save.
  4. Press the TIME/MEM button again to confirmed store the current radio station as a preset in the memory list (can be 10 stored station).
Tuning lo a Preset Radio Station
  1. Follow the instructions for Tuning the Radio and Saving a Station as a preset.
  2. Press the TIME/MEM button to cycle through preset radio stations.
  3. Press TIME /MEM buttons to choose preset radio station.
Playing the AM/FM Radio
  1. Press the /  BAND button to turn the clock radio on.
  2. Press the  / BAND button again to switch between the AM and FM radio mode.
  3. Press the TUN+ and TUN- buttons to adjust the radio to the desired frequency.
  4. Press and hold the TUN+ and TUN- buttons to search for the next available frequency.
  5. Press the VOL+/- buttons to adjust the volume.
  6. Press and hold the [INSERT SYMBOL/ BAND to turn the radio off.

ALARM

Setting the Alarm
  1. If in radio mode, Pres and hold the / BAND button to turn the unit off.
  2. Press and hold the AL 1 or AL2 button.
  3. Press the HOUR button to adjust the hour. The PM indicator will light when the hour is set in the PM.
  4. Press the MIN button to adjust the minute. The Alarm1 or Alarm2 indicator will come on.
  5. Press the AL 1 or AL2 buttons repeatedly to switch between Radio, Buzzer or off. If the alarm is set to Radio, use the VOL+/- buttons to adjust the volume of the alarm.
  6. Once the set alarm time is reached, the alarm will sound. To set the other alarm, follow the above steps and choose the alarm not currently set.
Canceling the Alarm
  1. Follow the instructions for Setting the Alarm.
  2. Press the AL 1 or AL2 buttons repeatedly until the indicator is no longer lit.
Snooze and Alarm Reset

After the alarm sounds:
Press SNOOZE button to delay the alarm for an additional 9 minutes. Or press the / BAND button to turn the alarm off until the set alarm time is reached again.

SLEEP

  1. If in radio mode, press the SLEEP button repeatedly to set the sleep time (90, 80, 70, … 30, 20, 10 min or OFF)
  2. Once the set sleep time has expired the clock radio will automatically power off.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Do not use this product near water.
  2. Clean only with a dry cloth.
  3. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
  4. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or items (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
  5. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding – type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third prong are provided for your safety. When the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
  6. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly al plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the product.
  7. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
  8. Refer all servicing to qualified service personal. Servicing is required when the product has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, Quid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the product, the product has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.

Additional Warnings

  • Do not expose the clock to liquids. Avoid drips, splashes and sitting objects on the
    clock which are filled with liquid, for instance vases.

  • The mains power plug is used as disconnect device and it should remain readily
    operable during intended use. In order to disconnect the apparatus from the mains
    completely, the mains plug should be disconnected from the mains socket outlet
    completely.

  • Battery shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the Nek.

  • Caution marking is located at the rear or bottom of the device.

    responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.

  • Warning : Do not place this unit directly onto furniture surfaces with any type of soft, porous, or sensitive finish. As with any rubber compound made with oils, the feet could cause marks or staining where the feet reside. We recommend using a protective barrier such as a cloth or a piece of glass between the unit and the surface to reduce the risk of damage and/or staining.

  • Warning : Use of this unit near fluorescent lighting may cause interference regarding use of the remote. If the unit is displaying erratic behavior move away from any fluorescent lighting as it may be the cause.

  • Caution : Danger of explosion ii battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.

  • Warning : There is a danger of explosion if you attempt to charge standard Alkaline batteries in the unit. Only use rechargeable Ni-MH batteries.

  • Warning : Toe remote control’s button cell battery contains mercury. Do not put in the trash, instead recycle or dispose of as hazardous waste.

  • Warning : Lithium batteries, like all rechargeable batteries are recyclable and should be
    recycled or disposed of in normal household waste. Contact your local government for
    disposal or recycling practices in your area. They should never be incinerated since they
    might explode.
