STEP 1: CHARGE AND POWER ON

Connect your watch to the charger. When your watch is charged, press the button to turn it on.
WARNING: To avoid damage to your watch, only use with included charger.

STEP 2: DOWNLOAD AND PAIR

On your phone, download the Android Wear(TM) app from the App Store(SM) or Google Play(TM) Store.
Open the Android Wear™ app on your phone and follow the prompts to pair your watch with your phone. Once paired, your watch screen will walk you through setup procedures.
To enable advanced fitness tracking, on your phone, download the Misfit app from the App Store™ or Google
Play™ and follow the setup procedure on the app.

For Android users in China:

The watch will boot up. Tap the screen to start and scroll up to allow permissions.
Scan the code that appears on the watch to download and install the Chinese version of the Android WearTM app. You can also download and install the Chinese version of the Android WearTM app from any major Android app market.
Open the Android Wear™ app on your phone and follow the prompts to pair and set up your watch.

Important Safety Instructions

Keep these instructions.
Do not attempt to open, disassemble or tamper with the Product. Substances contained in this Product and/or its battery may damage the environment and/or human health if handled and disposed of improperly.
Do not use the Product in circumstances that could cause a dangerous situation, such as using the Product while operating heavy machinery or driving a moving vehicle in a manner that might cause you to take your eyes off the road or become so absorbed in the activity that your ability to concentrate on the act of driving becomes impaired.
(If applicable) Do not wear or clean your Product while you are charging it. Always unplug the charger first before cleaning the Product.
Do not use abrasive cleaners to clean your Product.
Do not place your Product in a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave oven, oven or dryer.
Do not expose your Product to extremely high or low temperatures.
Do not use your Product in a sauna or steam room.
Do not expose your Product to water at high pressure, such as ocean waves or a waterfall.
Do not leave your product in direct sunlight for an extended period of time.
Do not leave or use your Product near open flames.
Never allow children to play with the product; the small components may be a choking hazard!
The Product is not intended for use where the failure of the Product could lead to death, personal injury, or severe environmental damage.
Maps, directions, and other GPS or navigation data, including data relating to your current location, may be unavailable, inaccurate, or incomplete.

IMPORTANT HEALTH PRECAUTIONS

Your use of the Product is solely at your own risk. We do not make any representations, warranties, or promises about the accuracy, reliability, or effectiveness of any of the Product’s functions or services, including without limitation, the number of steps you’ve taken, calories burned, sleep quality or duration, heart rate, and other information. The Product is intended to provide a reasonable approximation of information such as pace, steps, calories burned, distance covered, heart rate, and sleep. However, the Product relies on the accuracy of the information you input, uses algorithms that are not necessarily perfect, and is subject to other factors beyond our control. For instance, while the heart rate monitor may typically provide an accurate estimate of a user’s heart rate, there are inherent limitations with the technology that may cause some of the heart rate readings to be inaccurate under certain circumstances, such as the fit of the device, physiology of the user and the type and intensity of the activity. We do not guarantee that the information provided by the Product is 100% accurate. The Product will not precisely track each calorie burned or each step taken, and will not precisely report pace, distance covered, heart rate, or sleep.
The Product, including any included software, is not a medical device and is intended for fitness purposes only. It is not designed or intended for use in the diagnosis of disease or other conditions, or in the cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease. Always seek the advice of a qualified medical professional before making any changes to your exercise, sleep, or nutrition, as doing so may cause severe harm or death.

Persons with implanted medical devices should:

Consult your physician before using a heart rate monitor.
Keep the Product more than 20 centimeters away from their medical device when the Product is turned on.
Never carry the Product in their breast pocket.
Use the wrist opposite the implanted medical device to minimize the potential for RF interference.
Do not wear the Product if you notice any interference.

CHARGING DOCK OPERATION (FOR PRODUCTS WITH RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES ONLY)
The charging dock is designed for tabletop use. To be compliant with RF exposure guidelines and to avoid interference with implanted medical devices, maintain a distance of at least 15 centimeters (approximately 6 inches) from the charging dock.

BUILT-IN BATTERY PRECAUTIONS (FOR PRODUCTS WITH RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES ONLY)
Do not dispose of your Product in a fire. The battery could explode.

Do not attempt to replace your Product’s battery. It is built-in and not changeable. The battery should be serviced only by FOSSIL authorized service centers.
Charge the battery in accordance with the instructions.
Recharge your battery only with FOSSIL-approved chargers that are specifically designed for your Product.
Do not attempt to force open the built-in battery. Your Product uses a California Energy Commission battery charger. Batteries (and all electronic equipment) must be recycled or disposed of separately from household waste.

WARNING! Use of a non-FOSSIL approved battery or charger may present a risk of fire, explosion, leakage, or another hazard. FOSSIL’s warranty does not cover damage to the device caused by non-FOSSIL-approved batteries and/or chargers.

WARNING! Certain items are fitted with lithium batteries that may contain perchlorate material special handling may apply. See www.dtsc.ca.gov/hazardouswaste/perchlorate for more information.

NOTE THE FOLLOWING WHEN USING FOSSIL DISPLAY/TOUCH-SCREEN DEVICES
WARNING REGARDING DISPLAY: The display on your device is made of glass or acrylic and could break if your device is dropped or if it receives a significant impact. Do not use it if the screen is broken or cracked as this could cause injury to you.

WARRANTY DISCLAIMER: PROPER USE OF A TOUCH-SCREEN DEVICE. If your device has a touch-screen display, please note that a touchscreen responds best to a light touch from the pad of your finger or a non-metallic stylus. Using excessive force or a metallic object when pressing on the touch-screen may damage the tempered glass surface and void the warranty. For more information, please refer to the “Standard Limited Warranty.”

IMPORTANT! Do not allow the touch-screen to come into contact with other electrical devices. Electrostatic discharges can cause the touch screen to malfunction.
CAUTION! To avoid damaging the touch screen, do not tap it with anything sharp or apply excessive pressure to it with your fingertips.

BATTERY PRECAUTION

Do not ingest battery – Chemical Burn Hazard.
This product contains a coin/button cell battery. If the coin/button cell battery is swallowed, it can cause severe internal burns in just 2 hours and can lead to death.
Keep new and used batteries away from children.
If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and keep it away from children.
If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.

DISPOSAL AND RECYCLING INFORMATION

Disposal and Recycling Information
The symbol indicates that this Product shall not be mixed with unsorted municipal waste when disposed of. There is a separate collection system for waste electrical and electronic equipment. Usually old electrical and electronic equipment can be returned free of charge. For further information please contact the competent municipal authorities or the shop where you purchased the Product. Correct disposal ensures that waste electrical and electronic equipment is recycled and reused appropriately. It helps avoid potential damage to the environment and human health and to preserve natural resources.

Do not dispose of the Product with household waste.
Batteries are not to be disposed of in municipal waste stream and require separate collection.
Disposal of the packaging and your Product should be done in accordance with local regulations.
