Use the onboard player for playing MP3 encoded audio tracks from SD card/USB or Bluetooth® device.image 3

  1. SD CARD SLOT: Insert your standard SD card here. (Automatically detected on insertion, or if removed and reinserted uses smart technology to resume play from the previous point).

  2. DISPLAY SCREEN : Display track information.
    a. Play or Pause indicator.
    b. What device is being used: USB or SD Card.
    c. Time into track.
    d. “bt” is displayed when connecting to a Bluetooth Device.

  3. MEMORY STICK SLOT: Connect your USB thumb drive here. If removed and reinserted, the system uses smart technology to resume play from the previous point.
NOTE. The USB socket is for the playback of recorded tracks only, not for charging a USB device.

  4. MODE: Select the input source – SD card USB, Bluetooth/TWS with two cabinets. See page 6 for more information.

  5. PLAY/PAUSE: Use this control to play or pause your MP3 music/backing track.

  6. LOOP: Use this to enable/disable the looped playback modes. When using this button with an SD card or USB thumb drive, there are 3 options:

    • ALL – Plays all the tracks on the root of the device in date order, then the sub folders.
    • ONE – Plays one track repeatedly (cycle to the required track to play using NEXT button (8).
    • FOD – Plays all track in the current active folder.
  7. PREVIOUS: Press to skip to the preceding track. A prolonged press will reduce the volume of the MP3 player.

  8. NEXT: Press to skip to the next track. A prolonged press will increase the volume of the MP3 player.

CONNECT TO BLUETOOTH DEVICE:
  • Toggle through the system modes and select Bluetooth (using MODE switch (4)).
  • On your Bluetooth capable device, make sure Bluetooth is enabled. Scan down the list of available devices -search for: HH Vector and select.
  • Your Vector enclosure is now connected to your Bluetooth device and controlled using the PLAY/PAUSE, PREVIOUS and NEXT BUTTONS.
  • Switching between a USB device and a Bluetooth device is possible, but the Bluetooth device will need to be re-selected by pressing the MODE button once.

Always switch off and disconnect the power cord when not in use.

TWS

True Wireless Stereo is a feature that allows for the connection of two VRE cabinets to a Bluetooth capable device. The result is a true stereo system via Bluetooth with the first VRE providing the left and the second providing the right portion of the stereo image.image 4

SETTING UP THE CONNECTION

image 5

  1. Connect the first VRE cabinet to a Bluetooth capable device as shown on the previous page.
  2. Using the Mode switch, select Bluetooth mode on secondary cabinet, then hold the MODE switch for a further 5 – 10 seconds, then release. BT will appear on the display of both cabinets (flashing on and off) and indicates the TWS connection is in progress.
  3. Once the connection has been established, the image (to the left) will appear on the display of both Primary and Secondary cabinet.

Switch off and disconnect the power cord before proceeding.

FUSE REPLACEMENT
  1. Slide out the fuse holder tray.
  2. Only replace fuse with the same type and power rating as specified on the rear panel.

Utilizing the MIX OUT to connect an additional VRE system.
The signal from the MIX OUT is at line level, so should be connected to the INSTRUMENT input of the following system.
Any number of VRE can be connected in this way.image

VRE1:
Initially set CH2 LEVEL control to zero, and in conjunction with the MASTER VOLUME control, adjust to achieve the desired listening level.
VRE2:
Set the MASTER VOLUME to the same level as that on the VRE-8AG2 primary.
Slowly increase CH2 LEVEL control to achieve the correct level balance between the two cabinets.

HINTS AND TIPS

UNPACKING
Inspect the product during unpacking, if any damage is found, notify the dealer you purchased it from immediately. Be sure to save the carton and all packaging materials. Should you ever need to return the unit back to the dealer use only the original factory packing. Pack all cables neatly, use cable ties to tidy excess cable length in ‘figure-8’ not loops.

BASIC SETUP
HH VRE cabs can be mounted on the floor, or a suitable pole or tripod. Don’t over-extend poles/tripods; ensure at least 4 x the pole diameter is still inside the outer pole. Make sure the legs have a good splay on tripods, but do not obstruct doorways or other access-ways.
If a pole mount is used, make sure that the thumb screw on the cabinet is tight.

SWITCHING OFF
After using the amplifier, please adjust the gain controls to their lowest settings, then the amplifier can be turned off safely. Turn the power switch to the OFF position and remove the power cord from the electrical source.
NOTE: Do not connect or disconnect from the input signal source when the amplifier is turned ON, damage could occur to the amplifier and the speaker.image 12

QUICK TIPS
  • Use electronic safety devices such as circuit breakers.
  • Start with EQ settings flat and gains low.
  • Master volumes should be at zero for switch on and off.
  • Use the minimum cut or boost in EQ. If all bands are boosted or cut, flatten EQ, re-adjust gain and start again.
  • Use input gain to set maximum signal level without distortion.
  • Set up mic levels first, and adjust other equipment to match.
  • Avoid very high onstage levels from backline amps.
  • Avoid damp environments and extremes of temperature for storage and use of all audio equipment.
  • Look after your cables. Do not stand equipment on, or run cases over them, do not tie knots in them and always use them for the correct application (a signal lead is NOT a speaker lead). Coil and secure with cable ties before storing.
  • Ensure your equipment is properly loaded and cannot move around during transit.
  • Keep lights away from speakers; heat can cause fires/speaker damage.
  • Don’t run cables across access-ways; if you have to, run them above doors or use approved cable covers.
  • Be aware of total power usage. Overloading a mains socket is potentially dangerous, and likely to cause a power out during use.
  • Keep power and signal cables apart.
