SETUP
Check for system updates. Nintendo system update version 6.0.1 or later is required for use of PowerA Wireless controllers.
- Connect your Nintendo Switch to the Internet
- Typically, system updates will be downloaded automatically when connected online.
- Select ‘System Settings’ from the HOME Menu, then scroll down to ‘System’ to see the System Update version and automatically check for system updates.
For additional help, search ‘system update’ from the Nintendo Support website.
BATTERY INSTALLATION
- Remove the battery door on the bottom panel and install (2) AA Alkaline Batteries (included).
- Confirm your Nintendo Switch Console is powered ON.
WIRED MODE
- Make sure your Nintendo Switch System is powered on and connected to your TV.
- Insert the USB cable into a USB port on the Nintendo Switch Dock. Connect the other end of the cable to the wired controller. Your wired controller is now ready for use.
- For wired mode, make sure the Arcade stick “battery mode” is turned off.
WIRELESS PAIRING
- The battery Mode switch should be “ON” for wireless mode.
- From the HOME Menu, select “Controllers,” then “Change Grip and Order.” While the pairing screen is displayed, press and hold down the SYNC Button for at least three seconds on the Arcade Stick you wish to pair.
NOTE: Once Arcade Stick is paired once, it will auto-connect next time.
UNDERSTANDING LED INDICATORS
There are two LED locations on this Arcade Stick: top left and along the front
edge.
-
The front edge LED near the Sync button will flash Red when the Alkaline batteries are getting near depletion. Replace Alkaline batteries once the low battery indicator is flashing to avoid interrupting gameplay.
-
The top-left LED location has four LEDs (in the control panel next to Home/View buttons) and indicates player numbers 1-8 and will cycle from left to right during wireless pairing.
INSTRUCTIONS
FACEPLATE REMOVAL
- Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove 6 screws on the face of the Arcade stick, and place them in a safe location.
- Next unscrew and remove the joystick knob, with a plastic sleeve and dust cover, and lift off the acrylic cover.
- Carefully remove the default face-card graphic and replace it with the new face card graphic.
- The reverse process above to re-assemble with a new face-card graphic in place.
D-PAD TOGGLE SWITCH
The D-Pad toggle switch can be changed on the fly to any of these three
settings:
DP: This will work as a normal 8-way D-pad
LS: This will convert the joystick into a digital emulation of the left
thumbstick and how it is mapped in-game. This will be useful for games that do
not support movement or commands from a D-pad.
RS: This will convert the joystick into a digital emulation of the right
thumbstick and how it is mapped to in-game functions. This will be useful for
games that use the RS for
camera movements and other in-game features not supported using a D-pad.
For additional troubleshooting information, refer to the Nintendo Switch user
manual.

- If your hands, wrists, arms, or eyes become tired or sore while playing, or if you feel symptoms such as tingling, numbness, burning, or stiffness, stop and rest for several hours before playing again.
- If you continue to have any of the above symptoms or other discomforts during or after play, stop playing and see a doctor.
