HDMI and VGA Adapter

Features

  • Connect a Windows desktop computer or laptop with a standard USB 3.0 port to a monitor or display using an HDMI or VGA cable
  • Works with Windows computers only and is not compatible with Mac, MacBooks or Chromebooks
  • Supports duplicate or extend mode for Windows
  • Supports Full HD resolution up to 1920 x 1080 @60Hz
  • If connecting an HDMI and VGA monitor at the same time, the same image will be displayed on both monitors

Installation

  • Connect the USB to HDMI adapter to a USB 3.0 port on your Windows computer (USB 3.0 ports are blue in colour).
  • If connected to a USB 2.0 port, the max resolution is 800 x 600.
  • The system tray in the bottom right of the screen will indicate the system is installing drivers.
  • When the drivers have finished installing a new drive will appear in Windows File Explorer. Click on the drive and then double click on the Windows install file to install the software.install 1
  • Follow the on-screen prompts to install the software.
  • When installation is complete, remove the adapter and restart the computer.
  • After restarting the computer, connect the adapter to a USB 3.0 port and Windows will automatically detect the 2nd monitor.
  • It may take up to 20 seconds for your 2nd monitor to appear depending on your computer.

Trouble Shooting

  • Confirm that your computer is running Windows 10 /8 / 7. This adapter does not support older versions of Windows, Mac OS, or Chrome OS.
  • To support 1920 x 1080, you must connect to a USB 3.0 port which are blue in colour. If connected to a USB 2.0 port, the maximum resolution is 800 x 600.
  • To complete installation you must restart your computer.
  • Remove the adapter before restarting your computer.
