Overview
The Supra® DirectKey™ Module is a low-power consumption module designed to
retrofit Bluetooth® Smart communications to existing hospitality and
commercial access control devices. The module provides secure wireless
communication of credentials from a user’s smartphone to a locking device,
eliminating the need for the assignment of traditional security tokens such
as magnetic stripe cards and RFID cards. The secure credential payload
delivers card data securely to the lock. This can be viewed as a ‘virtual’
magnetic stripe or an RFID card read.
The Supra DirectKey Module utilizes a high-performance 2.4GHz Bluetooth Smart
5.1 radio in a cost-effective, pre- certified footprint. Secure Bluetooth
Smart communications is achieved through the application of an addition
security layer provided by the Supra cloud credentialing service.
