Introduction
NUX MG-30 is a versatile modeler. MG-30 equips 2 powerful DSPs for high- definition White-Box Amp Modeling algorithm (TSAC-HD) and Core-Image post- effects. Since we announced the best budget compact modeler MG-300, people were blown away by the sound and playability. Were proud to say MG-30 can offer you a 2K definition better than MG-300’s Full-HD experience. The aluminum alloy enclosure gives you strong protection in all kinds of rigorous environments. Send/Return and external EXP jacks offer multi applications the guitarists need. Moveable signal blocks, optional parallel post-effect routing, and 1024 samples IR resolution make MG-30 be the versatile modeler as a game-changer in the industry.

Control Panel
MASTER KNOB
Controls the overall master volume of MG-30.
SIGNAL BLOCK
Under the current patch. Press once to engage/disengage the related signal
block Hold to enter to related signal block editing. Hold 2 signal blocks can
exchange the block position. Signal blocks are also the Indicators to show the
current status. (Engaged / Disengaged)
5-WAY DIRECTION ENCODER
During the current patch location display. Press once to enter edit mode.
then you can go left/right to choose a related signal block to tweak
parameters. Rotate the encoder can switch to different models.
During the current patch location display. Hold up. you can adjust the current
patch level.
In patch edit mode, hold you can go to signal block
position adjustment. If your current block is MOD / DIY / RVB, press 10408 3
or KNOB 4 can set the post-effects as parallel routing.
In patch edit mode, told ‘DOWN’. you can also go to on-board EXP / external
EXP / CTRL assignment settings.
During anent patch location display. Hold down, you can adjust UP / EXP 1 /
CTRL assignment settings. (MG-30 will detect edema! EXP 1 Jack Mile you
connect with NUX NMP-2 or expression pedal.)
HOME/GLOBAL/EXP INDICATOR BUTTON
During the current patch display, hold the global button to enter GLOBAL
SETTING. then use a 5-way direction encoder to adjust all the setups. Press
once to go one layer back.
The DCP indicator can show the onboard EXP is engaged for secondary function
or not.
SAVE BUTTON
Either in GLOBAL SETTING or Patch EdIt, press the SAVE button to store. Press NOME/GLOBAL button to go back
KNOB1/2/3/4
While you
enter edit mode (press Sway encoder). you can tweak the Mob to adjust the
related parameters. You can even press the knob to go to a different page.
Hidden Functions it PRESET mode by pressing KNOB 1/ 2/ 3: Press 101081: You can adjust content patch LEVEL by rotating KNOB 1. (Press KNOB 4 to recall default parameter.)
Press KNOB 2: You can see anent patch’s BPWINE setting. In the meantime, you can tap 1010B 2 as Tap Tempo to adjust the 6 BPM value.
Press KNOB 3: You can see the current CPU status.
FOOTSWITCHES
DOWN FOOT SWITCH: During patch display, press once can go patch down.
UP FOOT SWITCH: During patch display, press once can go patch up.
CTRL FOOT SWITCH: You can assign GIRL toot switch as TAP / CMP / NG / EFX / EO
/ SR MOD / DLY / RVB. (Enter to 13(2/E(P1/CTRL assignment settings.) TAP means
globally tap tempo. For other signal blocks. rt means you can
0119119e/disengage by cut footswitch.
Press the UP & DOWN footswitch, then you can enter DRUM & LOOPER. In the
meantime, the DOWN footswitch controls Phrase lower. UP footswitch controls
drum.
LOOP FOOTSWITCH
RHYTHM FOOTSWITCH
Double press CTRL to exit DRUM & LOOPER.
Press UP & CTRL footswitch, then you can enter to TUNER.
Rotate knob 1 to switch CHROMATIC or COMPANY. G .
press knob I to switch Mute or Listening.
Note: COWEN. G Is a guitar compensation tuning algorithm.
Double press CTRL footswitches to exit TUNER.
DC POWER SWITCH
Turn-ON / OFF MG-30 through the switch.
DC JACK
Caned the original adaptor to the jack.
USB
USB PORT: Connect the USB cable to the computer for firmware update. USB
recording or QuickTime edit software editing.
Note Connect the USB cable to the computer and hold the UP & DOWN
footswitch to turn on MG-30. then you can enter to DFU(Device Firmware Update)
mode to do a firmware update. For more details, please visit the product page
to check the firmware update Instruction and download the newest firmware &
QuickTime edit software.
OUTPUT JACKS
Lout is for mono. Rout is for the right side while stereo application.
SEND / RETURN JACKS
You can connect with other effect pedals through SEND / RETURN. You can check
SIR current block position on the display.
1/8″ PHONE JACK
Connect your headphone to the Mr phone lack. The phone out is related to
OUTPUT.
1/8″ AUX IN
Connect your MP3 player to the 118* AUX IN jack for playback.
INPUT JACK
Connect your guitar to the INPUT jack.
EXP1
1 /4″ TRS jack, connect an external expression pedal here. or the additional NMP-2.
Global Setting
Here we will explain more details about GLOBAL SETTING. actually, it’s very
intuitive. you can follow the UI to operate easily.
Hold HOME/GLOBAL button to enter to GLOBAL SETTING.
PRE EQ
You can adjust the input trim and 3 bands E0 to fix the guitar mod as you
prefer.
OUTPUT MODE
You can choose the suitable output mode with a related connection. While you
choose COMBO FRONT / STACK FRONT, MG-30 will bypass IR(Cab) block. In output
mode, MG-30 offers 3 bands of EO to let you tweak the global sound to be
suitable Mr the current environment.
EXP SETUP
Firstly you can adjust FYP to be independent with a patch or related to the
patch. It means if you choose DIP Ind., you can keep LW engaged even move to
the next patch.
USB ROUTING
Besides USB ROUTING in GLOBAL SETTING, you can adjust USB routing in QuickTime
edit software.
DISPLAY
Adjust the display brightness.
PARA. FOLLOW
If you engage PARA. FOLLOW, while you leave the current efx model, MG-30 will
remember the parameters while you choose the model again. If you turn off
PARA. FOLLOW, while you choose the efx model, it will use default parameters.
FACTORY DEFAULT
You can recall the factory preset.
GAME
During rehearsal, guitarists always feel bored. No worry, MG-30 has a SNAKE
GAME for you!
