Mini Pedal Tuner
NUX Flow Tune (NTU-3 MKII) is a compact pedal tuner with advanced functionality. It offers 4 tuning modes (Chromatic/Guitar Standard/Guitar Compensation/Bass),the unique Guitar-Compensation mode offers a more harmonic and delightful sound, high-definition LCD display with 3 display options, A4 calibration, and you can easily toggle between True Bypass, Buffered Bypass and an innovative Buffered Bypass Monitor mode that keeps the output signal always unmuted.

Operation

  • Power Input
    9V DC Negative Tip (Optional NUX ACD-006A Power Supply).

  • Audio Input
    Connect your instrument to the INPUT jack.

  • Audio Output
    Connect the OUTPUT jack to the next device in chain.

  • Footswitch
    Activate/deactivate the tuner pedal.

  • DISPLAY Button
    Short press the DISPLAY button to switch between 3 Display Modes (a Strobe mode and 2 Arrow modes). Long press the DISPLAY button to restore the Factory Settings.

  • MODE/A4 Button
    Short press the MODE/A4 button to switch between 4 Tuning Modes (Chromatic, Guitar Standard, Guitar Compensation and Bass). Long press the MODE/A4 button to change the A4 Reference Pitch (430Hz-450Hz).

  • TB-BF-BFM Toggle Switch
    Switch between True Bypass, Buffered Bypass, and Buffered Bypass Monitor modes.

Display Modes

NUX Flow Tune offers 3 display modes; a Strobe Mode and 2 Arrow Modes. Short press the DISPLAY button to switch among these modes:

Tuning Modes

Short press the MODE/A4 button to switch between the 4 tuning modes:

  1. Chromatic Mode: Default.
  2. Guitar Standard Mode: Indicated by highlighted “G sTD”.
  3. Guitar Compensation Mode: Indicated by highlighted “G CPs” .
  4. Bass Mode: Indicated by a highlighted letter “B”.

Changing the Reference Pitch
You can calibrate the A4 reference pitch to a value from 430Hz to 450Hz. Follow these steps to change the reference pitch:

  1. Long press the MODE/A4 button.
  2. When the display blinks, short press the MODE/A4 button to change the reference pitch in 1 Hz steps. (e.g. the display shows “40” for 440Hz, “32” for 432Hz, etc.)
  3. To confirm the currently displayed reference pitch, long press the MODE/A4 button again, or simply do not press any button for 4 seconds.

Bypass Modes

NUX Flow Tune lets you easily select True Bypass,Buffered Bypass, or Buffered Bypass Monitor modes,using the TB-BF-BFM toggle switch:

TB (True Bypass)
When the tuner is bypassed, the pedal is a True Bypass circuit that has no influence on your output signal. When the tuner is activated and starts tuning, the output will bemuted.

BF (Buffered Bypass)
When the tuner is bypassed, the output signal is driven by a Buffered Bypass circuit. When the tuner is activated and starts tuning, the output will be muted.

BFM (Buffered Bypass Monitor)
The signal is driven exactly as in the Buffered Bypass mode, while the output remains unmuted no matter the tuner is activated or deactivated.

Factory Reset
You can restore the factory settings by long pressing the DISPLAY button for 5 seconds.

Tune Your Instrument

We recommend you tune your guitar every time you pick it up. Guitars tend to go out of tune quickly. Make sure your guitar is in tune when you begin to play it.
Here is a quick guide for Standard E tuning for Guitar and Bass Guitar. Follow this tuning pattern and tune your guitar accurately with the NUX Flow Tune.

Guitar compensation tuning
We got inspired from James Taylor of compensation tuning,so we developed guitar compensation tuning mode in NUX Flow Tune.
