BEFORE USING THE DEVICE, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS COMPLETELY AND CAREFULLY. CORRECT APPLICATION IS VITAL TO THE PROPER FUNCTIONING OF THE DEVICE.
INTENDED USER PROFILE
The intended use should be a licensed medical professional, the patient or the patient’s caregiver. The user should be able to read, understand and be physically capable of performing the directions, warnings and cautions in the information for use.
INTENDED USE/INDICATIONS
- Treatment of de Quervain’s syndrome; Scaphoid injuries; Gamekeeper’s thumb; and wrist and thumb sprains and strains.
PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS
Soft-good/ semi-rigid designed to restrict motion through elastic or semi- rigid construction.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
- None
WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS
- Do not use over open wounds.
- If pain, swelling, changes in sensation or other unusual reactions occur while using this product, you should contact your doctor immediately.
- If you have skin disorders/injuries in the relevant part of the body, the product should be fitted and worn only after consultation with a medical professional.
NOTE: Contact manufacturer and the competent authority in case of a serious incident arising due to usage of this device.
APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
- Release single pull strap and thumb straps. Position hand in brace with cotton stockinet liner on top of the hand. The thumb should rest on the abduction stay. Make sure the Palmer stay is positioned comfortably below the palmar crease and aligned with the forearm.
- Wrap single pull strap around wrist area and secure on the brace. The strap should be snug but not constricted.
- Thumb straps should wrap in opposing directions and secure on the brace. Straps should be snug but not constricted.
CARE
Wash in lukewarm water with a mild detergent. Do not bleach. Rinse thoroughly. Air dry. Do not machine dry. Do not dry-clean. Do not iron. Note: If not rinsed thoroughly, residual soap may cause irritation and deteriorate the material.
