INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing the Purr & Play Zippy KittyTM.
Play and learn with a lively kitten. Shake the wand in front of the kitten and
see how she runs and plays. Care for this responsive cat to hear how she is
feeling and learn about colors, numbers, kitten facts, music and songs.

WARNING
All packing materials such as tape, plastic sheets, packaging locks,
removable tags, cable ties, cords and packaging screws are not part of this
toy, and should be discarded for your child’s safety.

Please save this Instruction Manual as it contains important information.

Unlock the Packaging Locks
- Rotate the packaging locks counterclockwise several times.
- Pull out the packaging locks and discard.
NOTE
Please cut and discard the plastic strap that attaches the Purr & Play Zippy
Kitty™ to the box. The strap is not part of this toy and should be discarded
for your child’s safety.
NOTE
Keep your body, hair and clothing away from the moving kitty. If something
gets caught in the kitty’s wheel, turn the kitty Off by sliding the
On/Off/Mode Selector to the Off position.
ACTIVATE NORMAL PLAY MODE
The Purr & Play Zippy Kitty™ is in a Try-Me mode in the package.
To activate normal play mode, please follow the below steps:
- Turn the unit on. Press and hold the three Number & Color Buttons together for at least three seconds.
- You will hear two short sounds to indicate that normal game play has been activated.
GETTING STARTED
Battery Removal and Installation
-
Make sure the unit is turned Off.
-
Find the battery cover located on the bottom of the unit, use a screwdriver to loosen the screw and then open the battery cover.

Remove old batteries by pulling up on one end of each battery.

Install 4 new AA (AM-3/LR6) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. (For best performance, alkaline batteries or fully charged
Ni-MH rechargeable batteries are recommended.) -
Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure.
WARNING :
Adult assembly required for battery installation. Keep batteries out of reach
of children.
IMPORTANT: BATTERY INFORMATION
- Insert batteries with the correct polarity (+ and -).
- Do not mix old and new batteries.
- Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable batteries.
- Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
- Do not short-circuit the supply terminals.
- Remove batteries during long periods of non-use.
- Remove exhausted batteries from the toy.
- Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of batteries in fire.
RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES
- Remove rechargeable batteries from the toy before charging.
- Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision.
- Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries.
IMPORTANT : INFORMATIONS CONCERNANT LES PILES
- Mettre en place les piles ou les accumulateurs en respectant les polarités + et –.

PILES RECHARGEABLES
- Enlever, lorsque c’est possible, les accumulateurs du jouet pour les recharger.
- Les accumulateurs ne doivent être chargés que sous la surveillance d’un adulte.
- Ne pas tenter de recharger des piles non rechargeables.
PRODUCT FEATURES

On/Off/Mode Selector
To turn the unit On, slide the On/Off/Mode Selector to Learning mode or Music Mode . You will hear a song, playful phrases and sounds. To turn the unit Off, slide the On/Off/Mode Selector to the Off position

Number and Color Buttons
Press the three Number and Color Buttons to learn numbers, colors and kitten facts, as well as hear fun songs and melodies. -
Wand With Toy Fish
Wave the wand in front of the kitty to see her move towards the fish and stand up. There is a sensor in the kitty’s neck that can detect movement. Be sure to wave the wand in front of her face and neck. -
Automatic Shut-Off
To preserve battery life, the Purr & Play Zippy KittyTM will automatically shut off after 60 seconds without input. The unit can be turned on again by sliding the On/Off/Mode Selector. The unit will also automatically turn off when the batteries are very low.
NOTE
If the unit powers down or the light fades out during playing, please install
a new set of batteries.
ACTIVITIES

Learning Mode
Press the three Number and Color Buttons to learn about numbers, colors and facts about the kitten. Wave the Wand in front of the kitten to hear fun phrases and kitten sounds and to see her play with the fish. -
Music Mode
Press the three Number and Color Buttons to hear fun songs and melodies. When a song or melody is playing, wave the Wand in front of the kitten to hear kitten sounds and fun cartoon sounds with the songs and melodies.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
- Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
- Keep the unit out of direct sunlight and away from any direct heat sources.
- Remove the batteries if the unit will not be in use for an extended period of time.
- Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces and do not expose the unit to moisture or water.
TROUBLESHOOTING
If for some reason the unit stops working or malfunctions, please
follow these steps:
- Turn the unit Off.
- Interrupt the power supply by removing the batteries.
- Let the unit stand for a few minutes, then replace the batteries.
- Turn the unit On. The unit should now be ready to use again.
- If the unit still does not work, install a new set of batteries.
