INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

With the Sinji Infrared thermometer you can measure the body temperature of adults and children without contact. You measure the temperature via the forehead and within a second you will see the accurate measurement on the LCD screen. Thanks to the color indication (green, orange and red for fever) you can see at a glance whether you have a fever. If you have a fever, see your doctor to determine a diagnosis.

Notes before use

Make sure to do a test measure before measuring the temperature of yourself or an- other person. Aim the thermometer at the area of the forehead and press the “meas- uring” button. A confirmation sound will be heard, indicating that the test has been completed. The measured temperature will be displayed on the LCD screen.

OPERATING THE TEMPERATURE GUN

Measuring body temperature

  1. Aim the thermometer at the area around the forehead above the eyebrows. Hold the thermometer at about 5-10 cm and press the “measure” button to measure the body temperature.
  2. The measured temperature is shown on the LCD display and will automatically be stored in the memory log. Measurements can be saved up to 32 times in the memory log.

Battery instructions

The battery cover is indicated by an arrow at the bottom of the thermometer handle. Push the cover lightly towards the direction the arrow is pointing to, to open the cov-er. You can now insert the batteries.

Notes of battery installation and replacement

  1. Pay attention at how the battery needs to be placed according to the “+” and “-“symbols.
  2. When a new battery has been placed it can take up to 10 minutes for the ther-mometer to power on.
  3. When the battery capacity is insufficient, a low battery symbol will appear on the display.
  4.  Please take out the battery when the product is not being used for a long time to prevent damage like leakage of battery liquids.

Change temperature unit between Celsius and Fahrenheit

Press and hold the Sound button (6) for eight seconds until the symbol on the LCD screen changes from ° C to ° F, or from ° F to ° C.

Switching between body measurement and object measurement

Press and hold the backlight button (3) for eight seconds until the status “body temperature” is displayed for measuring body temperature, or until it disappears for measuring the temperature of objects.

Switching the backlight on and off

Briefly press the backlight button (3) once to switch the backlight on and off.

Switch notification tone on and off

Briefly press the Sound button (6) once to switch the notification tone on and off.

Resetting the thermometer

To reset the thermometer’s memory, the thermometer can be reset. Here are the steps required to reset the thermometer’s memory.

Step 1
Open the battery compartment and insert the batteries. Do not close the compart-ment yet.
Step 2
With one hand, press and hold the left and right buttons simultaneously. Close the battery compartment with the other hand.
Step 3
Wait a few seconds until you hear a beep. The screen jumps (without backlight). Now the memory has been reset. Use the trigger to start new measurements.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• Do not charge non-rechargeable batteries
• Do not expose the product to water
• Keep the product away from heating sources.

CLEANING

• Clean the product with a dry cloth.
• Do not use any (chemical) liquids or oil!

PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS

The display does not indicate temperature, but HI or LO
If the measured temperature is lower than 32 ° C or higher than 42.9 ° C, the LCD will display Display “LO” or “HI”.

The thermometer does not turn on

  • Check that the battery cover is properly closed
  • Place the batteries in a different position and try again

The thermometer shows an incorrect value

  • Check that the thermometer is in the correct mode. Change the mode by pressing the backlight button (3) for eight seconds.
  • Check that the temperature unit is set correctly. Change the unit by holding the sound button (6) for eight seconds until the symbol on the LCD screen changes from ° C to ° F, or from ° F to ° C.
Reasons for ‘LO’ or ‘HI’ notification Solution
The temperature value is affected by hair and sweat. Make sure there are no

obstacles when measuring the temperature.
The temperature is affected by airflow change.| Ensure stable air during temperature measurement.
The measuring distance is too far.| Make sure that the measuring distance is in the 5-10 cm range.
