1. OVERVIEW

Descripton
Always keep your bedroom, living room or study room at the desired temperature with the Smart Infrared Panel Heater! For example; automatically turn the heater on before you wake up or stop heating when the sun goes down. Make heating as smart as you want with your own pre-programmed schedules.

Heating: When the temperature is lower than the set temperature the heater will turn on. When the set temperature has been reached it will turn off. The range of the temperature is 10°C-50°C.

Timer: The timer can be set in steps of 1 hour up to a maximum of 24 hours. Once 24 has been reached, the next press of the timer button will set the timer back to 0.

Tip: The first time you use this infrared panel it might give of a faint odour. This is normal and no cause for concern. When using the panel for the first time, turn it on for a while in a well-ventilated room to get rid of this odour.

3. INSTALL THE SMART LIFE APP

1.  Download the Smart Life app for iOS or Android for free.http://e.tuya.com/smartlife

2. Open the Smart Life app and tap ‘Register’ or log in with an existing account.

3. Follow the instructions in the app.

4. ADD THE SMART CARBON CRYSTAL INFRARED PANEL HEATER TO THE APP

The Smart Infrared Panel Heater can be added in two different ways:

A) By scanning the QR code
B) Manually

A) Scanning the Qr Code

1. Switch on the Smart Infrared Panel Heater.
2. Make sure the Smart Infrared Panel Heater is in Wi-Fi connection mode. The LED next to the Wi-Fi symbol should be blinking. If it is not, turn off the panel and then hold the “+” button until the symbol starts blinking. Turn the panel back on.
3. Make sure your smartphone is connected to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
4. Open the Smart Life app and press the plus sign in the top right of the main screen to add a device.
5. Then press the square with the dash in it on the top right:
6. Your phone’s camera will open. Scan the QR code below with your phone to add the Smart Infrared Panel Heater:https://smartapp.tuya.com/s/p?p=dlknvlpqd3k3sntp&v=1.0
7. Follow the steps in the app to complete the installation

Note: If you wait too long, the LED next to the Wi-Fi symbol might stop flashing. You will need to start at step 1 again.

B) Manually adding the Smart Carbon Crystal Infrared Panel Heater

1. Switch on the Smart Infrared Panel Heater.
2. Make sure the Smart Infrared Panel Heater is in Wi-Fi connection mode. The LED next to the Wi-Fi symbol should be blinking. If it is not, turn off the panel and then hold the “+” button until the symbol starts blinking. Turn the panel back on.
3. Make sure your smartphone is connected to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
4. Open the Smart Life app and tap ‘+’ to select the device you want to add.
5. Select “small household appliances”.
6. Select “heating (Wi-Fi)”.
7. Follow the steps in the app to complete the installation.

5. INSTALL THE SMART CARBON CRYSTAL INFRARED PANEL HEATER

Finding the right location for your Smart Infrared Panel Heater is important. Because the Smart Infrared Panel Heater only heats objects directly in its line of sight, make sure that there are no big obstacles in front of your heat panel that block the radiation.

Freestanding installation
If you want to use the electric heater as a free-standing unit, mount it with the feet provided and follow the instructions below. Ensure that the heater is mounted on a flat, stable and clean surface.

1. Turn the product upside down on a soft cotton cloth or carpet to avoid damage.
2. Attach the feet to the bottom of the heating element with the screws provided.

Align the holes in the foot with the holes in the feet, insert the screws through the holes and tighten them with a screwdriver.

Installation on the wall
Tip: before installing the panel on the wall we recommend that you use the freestanding installation first, to familiarize yourself with the Smart Infrared Panel Heater. This may help you pick the right spot for it.

Tip: Before drilling, make sure that there are no cables, pipes or other crucial elements on or in the wall in order to prevent damage. Remember that the screws must be firmly and securely seated in the wall to ensure safe installation of the IR heater on the wall. The installation height must be more than 15 cm from the ground and at least 50 cm from the ceiling.

Warning: Install the panel heater a safe distance away from flammable materials, gas and water.

The Smart Infrared Panel Heater comes with 3 wall mounting brackets installed on the back (using 3x M4x10 screws), as you can see in the illustration.

1. The Smart Infrared Panel Heater needs only 2 screws for installation on the wall. The bottom bracket is used as a stand-off to make sure the panel hangs vertical, and it does not need a screw. Use the included measuring template to easily drill the holes in the right position. The distance between the two holes should be 350mm, each with a diameter of 8mm and a depth of 35mm.
2. Put the plugs into the holes and screw in the screws tightly, leaving 5mm of the screw sticking out.
3. Hold the sides of the Smart Infrared Panel Heater and place the slots of the brackets over the screws. Lower the panel down while it is hooked on the screws and then move it to the left. The panel now hangs in place.

6. USING SMART FUNCTIONS

Everything you can do with the buttons on the Smart Infrared Panel Heater, and more, can be done in the Smart Life app as well.

In addition, smart scenarios can be set, which allow the device’s settings to be adjusted when one or more conditions are met. For example, when the sun rises the panel needs to be turned on. Or, if it is above 23 °C outside the panels needs to be turned off. You can also create scenarios in which the device works together with other Smart Home devices that you have added to the Smart Life app. For example, you can combine a smart motion sensor with the Smart Infrared Panel Heater to only turn
the panel on when there is someone in the room.

Creating a scenario

1. Go to the main screen of the Smart Life app.
2. Press “Smart” at the bottom.
3. Then press the plus sign in the top right corner to create a new scenario.

A scenario consists of the following components

1. The conditions that the scenario must fulfil (examples: at 10 a.m., at sunrise, when another device turns on).
2. The device that should do something (in this case the Smart Infrared Panel Heater).
3. The action to be performed by the device (examples: switch off, switch on, set another temperature).
4. (optional) Additional follow-up actions (examples: pause, switch off again, adjust temperature).

7. MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE

Cleaning
Always disconnect the Smart Infrared Panel Heater and allow it to cool down completely before carrying out any maintenance.
Clean the outside of the panel with a damp cloth and a mild cleaning agent. Afterwards, dry it with a soft cloth. Never immerse the appliance in water or allow water to drip into it.

Storage
Always disconnect the Smart Infrared Panel Heater, let it cool down completely and clean it before storing it. If you are not going to use the panel for a long time, put the unit and the manual back in the original box and store it in a dry and well-ventilated place. Do not place heavy objects on the box during storage as this may damage the device.

8. SAFETY WARNINGS

1. Do not touch the surface of the Smart Infrared Panel Heater while it is turned on. It can get hot and burn your skin.
2. Do not use the Smart Infrared Panel Heater outdoors. It is meant for indoor use only.
3. Do not use the Smart Infrared Panel Heater near flammable or explosive materials. This may create fire and/or explosion hazards.
4. It is strictly forbidden to insert any objects into the protective grille of the Smart Infrared Panel Heater as there is a danger of electric shock.
5. Remove the plug from the socket if the Smart Infrared Panel Heater is not used for an extended period of time.
6. Do not cover the Smart Infrared Panel Heater. If you cover the heating element, you risk overheating and causing a fire.
7. The Smart Infrared Panel Heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, washrooms or similar places with very high humidity and/ or condensation.
8. Never place the Smart Infrared Panel Heater near water.
