The Otofonix App’s primary feature is to customize the user’s preferred profile settings that will provide a fit and comfortable hearing experience.
NOTE: Due to improvements made to the app over time, your app may look and act differently from what is shown in this manual. If this is the case please follow the instructions provided by the app.

Before You Begin

Make sure that

  • Bluetooth on your smartphone is turned on and/or enabled.
  • TURN ON your hearing devices and make sure it has a fresh battery/full power.
  • Your hearing devices are within 5 feet of your smartphone.
  • App is only available on iOS 9 or later, iPhone 5 or above; Android 6 or later,

OPTION 1 Visit the Apple App Store or Google Play to download the Otofonix App.
OPTION 2 Open up the camera on your smartphone.

Scan the following QR code to download the Otofonix App.

THE OTOFONIX APP IS AVAILABLE FOR ! PADS AND IPHONES WITH IOS VERSION 9 AND HIGHER OR FOR ANDROID DEVICES RUNNING VERSION 6 OR HIGHER.

Connect the App
Enable Bluetooth Make sure that Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone before opening the App.
OPTION 1: Swipe upwards from the bottom of the screen to reveal the Control Center and tap the Bluetooth icon. (For i0S)
OPTION 2: Check the “Bluetooth” menu option under “Settings”.

Connect the App

Search
Search for your devices by following the steps. Connect
Connect the device one at a time to each ear.
Connect the App

More setting You can choose more settings by selecting the on the right end of the connected device.

ON & OFF Setting

Connect Select corresponding device to turn the setting/volume control ON/OFF by sliding the button to right (ON) OR left (OFF).

Fitting

You can choose the Fitting option to customize the fit of your hearing devices by yourself.
Tips: You can choose to experience the original setting first and do the hearing check later.

Find a quiet place do the Fitting or Hearing check. Follow the App guiding steps and confirm active reference tone at each frequency testing.
Confirm -Yes” or “No’ X in all testing frequencies.

Hearing check

Once the test has been completed, the App will show you the hearing result.

You can use your hearing result to re-fit your devices by following the steps.

Sound control

Adjust your sound settings by tapping the Control , on the bottom left of your home page screen. From here you can adjust Mode/Programs, Volume, and Band.

Control

Mode/ Programs
Choose the listening mode according to your needs on the App by tapping on the program. App default function to change both left and right devices together.
Tips: Memory switch on the devices allows you to change mode individually.
Volume
Control the volume of your hearing devices by dragging around the circle. Both devices can be adjusted to the ether at the same level by selecting link ,or independently by unlinks . Adjustment
Adjust your bands by tapping the band button and dragging the sliders on the appropriate frequency.
BAND function can customize the amplification of sound at a variety of frequencies.

Troubleshooting

Warnings

Notifications of app updates should not be disabled, and it is recommended that the user installs all updates to ensure that the app will function correctly and will be kept up to date. The app must only be used with the Otofonix device for which it is intended, and Otofonix takes no responsibility if the app is used with other devices. If using the Otofonix app with the hearing device, please make sure to read the hearing device user guide. The hearing device user guide was included in the hearing device package. If you need a new copy, please contact Otofonix customer support. Mobile device apps are intended to be used with wireless hearing devices. Mobile device apps send and receive signals from the wireless hearing devices via mobile devices for which the apps have been developed.
