NOTE

• Use the product with filters within their shelf life in order to obtain the best air purification effect.
• Routinely ventilate the room with fresh air as the concentration of carbon dioxide may rise when using the product for long periods of time with all doors and windows closed.
• Do not use the product for long periods of time near cooking areas as it may sharply reduce the filter’s life, requiring an earlier filter replacement. (Cook food with windows open to allow fresh air ventilation. For better air-purifying effect, use the Air Purifier with all windows closed after finishing cooking.)
• Operate the product on flat level surfaces. (May otherwise cause excessive vibration, noise, or faults.)
• Do not place anything on the product or clog the air inlet and/or outlet as it may cause faults and deterioration of air purifying performance.
• The internal UV LED actively kills any germs that pass through the filtration system, extending the life of the filter.
• It will remain on as long as the product is powered on.

INSTALLATION, FILTER CLEANING & REPLACEMENT

How to Install the Product.

| 1. Connect the Adapter to Main Assembly.

| 2. Plug the AC Adapter into a power outlet and turn the product ON by pressing the Power Button.
| 3. Make sure not to clog the air inlet and outlet
with any foreign objects.

Filter Cleaning

| 1. Lay the product on the soft cloth, unplug the Power Supply Cord, then separate the top & bottom sections of the product.

| 2-1 Gently lift the filter from the base and clean the pre-filter with a vacuum. (Recommended cleaning cycle: Once a month)
| 2-2 Gently peel off the pre-filter and replace it with a new one. (Recommended replacement cycle: Once every 6 months)
| 3. After cleaning or replacing, reassemble the product by aligning the seams near the power jack.

FILTER REPLACEMENT & CAUTION

How To Replace the CEPA & Activated Carbon Filter.

| 1. Lay the product on the soft cloth, unplug the Power Supply cord, then separate the top & bottom sections of the product.

| 2. Remove the filter by gently lifting it by the ears of the CEPA & Activated Carbon Filters.
| 3. Replace the filter, then reassemble the product by aligning the seams near the power jack.

※ CAUTION

• Make sure the power is off and all cords are unplugged before any cleaning or filter maintenance work.
• Attempting to replace the filter while the product is operating may cause serious damage to the product
• Correctly assemble the product by aligning the seams near the power jack. (Incorrect assembly will prevent product operation.)

****CAUTION FOR MAINTENANCE & HANDLING OF FILTER

• The life span of CEPA & Activated Carbon Filters goes up to a maximum of 12 months, which may vary depending on the location and environment of the user.
• Cleaning the CEPA & Activated Carbon Filters with water is NOT recommended, doing so may cause performance to decline.
• Do not use water or any detergents when cleaning the Main Assembly & Filters of the product as it may cause stains or cracks on the surface of the product.
• The filter replacement alarm is set based on total operating time, earlier replacement may be required depending on the conditions of the user’s environment.
• The replacement & cleaning cycles required for each filter may vary depending on operating conditions.
• The difference in life span for each filter comes from the difference of air-polluting conditions. Heavier accumulation of dust or smoke shortens the life span of the filter.

OPERATION OF PRODUCT

| Power Button, Auto-mode
Turn the power ON by pressing the Power Button for 1-2 seconds.
– The product will start on Auto-mode by default. (LED-GREEN)
– The Air Quality Indicator’s color will change depending on the surrounding air quality.
(Good-GREEN / Moderate-BLUE / Unhealthy-PURPLE / Very unhealthy-RED)
A short press of the Power Button will set it to Auto Mode from other fan speeds.

Cycle through a total of 4 fan speeds of your choice.
– Choose the desired Fan Speed by pressing the Button.
– Turbo Mode: press & hold the button for over 3 seconds to turn on Turbo Mode.
(Will automatically switch back to fan speed 3 after 60 minutes.)

Night Mode, Filter Replacement Reset Button
Night Mode allows quiet operation for comfortable and sound sleep.
– Press the button to turn Night Mode on. (LED-RED)
– Fan Speed changes to Fan Speed 1 when turning on Night mode.
– The Fan Speed can still be changed during Night Mode.
– Press the button again to turn Night Mode off.
– LED of Air Quality Indicator blinks when the replacement of Filter is required. (LED-RED)
– After replacing the filter, press & hold the button for 10 seconds to reset the timer.
| Child Lock Mode
Child Lock Mode locks all the operation buttons to prevent accidental operation.
– Press & hold the Child Lock button for over 3 seconds to execute the locking mode.
– No buttons other than the locking button are operable during Child Lock Mode.
– Turn off Child Lock mode by pressing the button for over 3 seconds.

AIR QUALITY LEVEL CHECK

• The Air Quality Level may not change no matter how strong the odor is if the gas concentration is constantly changing.

• The Air Quality Level values indicated may differ from other air purifiers or notices of other institutions.

• When the Air Quality Level indication stays continuously Unhealthy:
  – Check the Sensor Section, and clean if any foreign objects are clogged.
  – If the cause could be from cooking odors, pull the power supply cord out and restart the product after one minute.

• The product must be in Auto Mode for it to change fan speeds according to air quality levels.

Supply related Precautions

• Do not change or extend the power supply wires at your own discretion.
• Do not damage the Power Supply Cord by either bending or pulling with excessive force.
• Do not turn the product OFF by pulling the Power Supply Plug out.
• Do not use any damaged power supply cords, plugs, or loosened power receptacles.
• Do not simultaneously operate multiple numbers of devices when using the multi-tap power receptacles.
• Do not use a power plug close to any heating devices.
• Only use a genuine Adapter with a DC 24V/1.5A rating.
• When cleaning the product, make sure to pull the Power Supply Cord out from the power out first.
• Do not touch the Power Supply Plug with wet hands.
• Pull the Power Supply Plug out when not using the product.
• Pay attention not to allow any infant babies to touch or handle the product.

※ Failure to observe the instructions of CAUTION FOR POWER SUPPLY SAFETY may cause personal injury or damage to the product due to electric shock or fire.

Caution for Operation

• Use the product only when the Power Supply Plug is completely inserted not to have the plug being shaky.
• Do not clog the Air Inlet & Outlet with any foreign objects.
• Do not use the product at places near to any hot objects such as heater or subject the risk of fire.
• Do not use the product as laid to the side, and do not put any objects on top of the product.
• Do not use the product having Main Assembly and Filter as separated.

※ Failure to observe instructions described in the Caution for Operation may cause the risk of fire, malfunction or damage of the product, and declining of purifying performance.

Caution for Installation

• Do not install the product at any places subject to potential gas leakage.
• Do not install the product at any areas subject to the heavy presence of industrial oils, smoke or metallic dust.
• Install the product avoiding direct sunlight, any heating devices, and particularly the presence of any moisture.
• Do not install the product on floor with slope or rough surface.
• Install the product keeping distance over 20cm from any ambient objects.
• Check the presence of any blocking objects at the

Air Inlet or Outlet.
※ Failure to observe the instructions described in Caution for Installation may cause the product faults such as the deterioration of air- purifying performance or noise and the risk of electric shock or fire.
Caution for Filter

• Avoid direct skin contact such as smelling the filter during operation.
• Remove dust with a vacuum cleaner or brush from polluted Filter by opening the top section of the product.
• Washing the filters is not recommended due to the risk of declined purifying performance.
• Accumulation of polluted substances may exist even when the product is not operated for a long period of time. Keep the product concealed using the vinyl cover.
• Dispose of older filters.
• Replacement Filters are available at the point of purchase.

※ Failure to observe the instructions described in the Caution for Filter may cause the risk of a health problems or decline of filtering performance.

PRODUCT WARRANTY CERTIFICATE

The CLAIR Incorporated provides the Product Warranty Services as described below in accordance with the regulation of Consumer Injury Compensation Rule.

• The period of Product Warranty Service shall extend up the one year from the date of purchase.

• The CLAIR Incorporated provides the charged repair services for following events even during the warranty service period.
  – Any faults of product caused by the use of no genuine components.
  – Any faults of product caused by the negligence, or repair and modification did at own discretion of the user.
  – Any faults of product caused by no observing of instructions described in the Operation Manual.

• The due repair cost may be charged for any repair services to be done after the expiration of the warranty service period.

• Please show the Product Warranty Certificate for requesting any repair services.
