General Information
Ensure the adapter is used only for its intended purpose and follow the
mounting instructions carefully.
Mounting Instructions
Inclined Mounting
- Insert the Keystone module into the module holder from behind depending on the cable feed direction.
- Position the module with the latching groove at the top in the upper edge of the module holder and swing it down until it latches at the bottom.
Horizontal Mounting
- Disengage the module holder at both locking points using a screwdriver and remove it from the adapter.
- Remove the plastic cover from the adapter.
- Re-insert the module holder from behind, using the positioning aid to snap it flat into the rear wall of the adapter.
- Insert the modules as desired into the holder.
Demounting
- Remove the complete module holder along with modules from the adapter.
- To release a module, press on the black locking tab.

Mounting instructions
General
The Keystone mounting adapter (hereinafter referred to as the adapter) is used
to accommodate a maximum of two Rutenbeck Keystone modules (A, B).
The Keystone modules can be mounted at an angle (as delivered, see Fig. 7a) or
horizontally (see Fig. 7b) thanks to the flexible design of the mounting plate
(D), the swivelling module holder (E) including positioning aid in addition to
the plastic cover (C).
Installation is completed with a TAE center plate.
Installation site
Only use accessory sockets in accordance with DIN 49073 with a depth of ≥ 60
mm for installation as per DIN 18015-1.
Do not use the adapter for any other purpose.
Mounting
Inclined mounting (Fig. 7a, rear view)
Before inclined mounting, please check the suitability of the used Keystone
module for this mounting position!
- I nsert the ready-to-install Keystone module (B) into the module holder from behind (Fig. 3) depending on the cable feed (left or right).
- Position the module with the latching groove at the top in the upper edge (G) of the module holder and swing it down until the latching lug engages at the bottom (Fig. 4).
Horizontal mounting (Fig. 7b, rear view)

Use a screwdriver (I) to disengage the module holder at both left-hand and right-hand locking points (H) and remove it from the adapter.

Pull the plastic cover (C) upwards and remove it from the adapter.
Please retain the plastic cover in case you wish to mount it at an angle at a later date. -
I nsert the module holder again from behind (Fig. 5). Use the positioning aid (J) and snap the module holder flat into the rear wall of the adapter.

Now insert the modules as desired and as described above.
Demontage -
Remove the complete module holder (Fig. 6) including modules from the adapter.

Release the appropriate module from the module holder by pressing on the black locking tab (see white arrow).
