protected by a residual-current device (RCD)/
ground-fault-circuit-interrupter (GFCI).
This UVC device produces harmful radiation, direct contact can be dangerous
for the eyes and skin. Always turn off the UV lamp before opening.
Do not directly stare at the light source.

Safety
Always follow the safety instructions below for safe use of the device. Failure to follow these instructions may endanger persons or the environment.
- WARNING! This UVC device emits UV-C radiation, which can cause serious eye damage and/or damage to the skin. The UV lamp must therefore always be installed completely shielded from the eyes.
- Never look at a burning UV lamp. Do not switch on the lamp until it is fully shielded installed and fully submerged.
- This device must be supplied through a residual current device (RCD) having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA.
- Ensure the voltage shown on the label matches the mains supply voltage.
- This device must be connected to a socket which is earthed.
- Protect the socket and plug against moisture. Use a drip loop to ensure that water cannot reach the socket and control box via the cord (see Fig. A).
- Don’t use the product if the device, quartz glass, cord or plug is damaged. Replace the quartz glass or return the device to your dealer for repair or recycling.
- Be careful with the combination of water and electricity. Do not operate with wet hands. Dry hands before carrying out maintenance.
- Always switch off all devices in the pond before maintenance. Disconnect the plug(s) from the socket.
- NOTICE! The UV lamp becomes warm. The UV lamp becomes warm. Allow the lamp to cool for at least 10 minutes before carrying out maintenance.

Product Overview

Function
The built-in submersible UVC ensures crystal-clear water. The UV lamp produces ultraviolet light with a wavelength of exactly 254 nm, thus meaning best effectiveness at this wavelength. The UV-C radiation keeps algae growth under control. The built-in submersible UVC ensures crystal-clear water. Due to its position under the drum, the UV radiation keeps the screen panel free of biofilm and algae deposits. This ensures a longer interval between flushings and significantly lower water consumption.
Installation
Fig. C Remove the quartz glass (c) from the packaging and slide the O-ring (g) over the plastic part of the quartz glass.
-
Slide the quartz glass into the adapter (b). Make sure that the O-ring (g) remains in place between the edge of the
adapter and quartz glass. -
Place the O-ring (h) correctly in the top of the quartz glass.
-
Unpack the UV lamp (d) and carefully slide the lamp halfway into the quartz glass (c).
-
Insert the lamp into the lamp holder (e) and slide it further into the quartz glass. Make sure that the pawl in the plastic part of the quartz glass falls into the recess of the lamp holder, which activates a microswitch. The microswitch is an extra security, it ensures that the UV lamp is always switched off automatically when disassembling (in case you forgot to switch off the UV lamp).
-
Tighten the lock nut (f) hand-tight at the adapter (b), so that it is firmly in place.
-
Check the whole assembly for possible leaks.
-
Insert the plug into the control box (see manual of the Combi Drum filter) at the specified position.
-
Make sure that the UV lamp is completely submerged and the filter cover is closed before before switching it on.
Maintenance
-
Remove the plug from the socket before carrying out maintenance!
-
The UVC device should be cleaned twice a year. As soon as algae growth increases, check the UVC device and UVlamp and clean the whole or exchange the UV lamp (Art. N6050125) as needed.
-
The lamp is hot, wait 10 minutes after switch off before opening the UVC device.
-
Ensure that the water is drained out of the filter first, before removing the UVC device.
-
Undo the lock nut (f) and remove first the lamp holder (e) and then carefully the UV lamp (d) from the quartz glass (c).
Then remove the quartz glass from the adapter. If necessary, you can also replace the lamp. -
The High Output UV lamp has an effective life span of approximately 16,000 hours (±2 years). The lamp will still burn beyond this period, but the UV radiation is no longer effective.
-
Clean the quartz glass outer face with a soft cloth and SuperFish Pump & UVC Clean carefully. After cleaning, thoroughly rinse the quartz glass with clean tap water and check for damage. Replace the quartz glass (Art. N6050135) if it shows any damage (to prevent glass breakage).
-
Reinstall everything, making sure the O-rings are correctly positioned.
-
Tighten the lock nut (f) hand-tight at the adapter.
-
Check the whole assembly for possible leaks.
