Product Overview

Installation

  1. Isolate the water supply & release the pressure.

  2. Remove the existing bypass and/or inlet/outlet adaptors by turning the union anticlockwise.

  3. Install the WTV5050 External Blending Valve. Ensure that the arrows are pointing in the direction of the flow. If unsure, contact Puretec for assistance.
Note: Hand tighten only, do NOT overtighten.

  4. Connect bypass and/or inlet/outlet adaptors to the External Blending Valve.

  5. Turn on the water supply and adjust the External Blending Valve as required by:
Clockwise: Increases bypass (less treated water).
Anticlockwise: Reduces bypass (more treated water).
When setting up for max bypass (least amount of treated water) turn the dial anti-clockwise until it stops. Then adjust the dial turning it clockwise to the thickest part of the line on the dial indicator.
Note: If the dial is turned clockwise past the max bypass line (maximum blending) position it will need to be reset. To reset, turn the dial anticlockwise until it stops and turn the dial to the desired position.

  6. Once the External Blending Valve has been set, the unit is ready for use.
