WHAT’S IN THE BOX

USING THE KETTLE

7 ONE-TOUCH PRESETS

Select the preset to heat the water to an optimal temperature for each type of tea/coffee.

TEMPERATURE PRESETS

Every type of tea and coffee has an optimal brewing temperature that brings out the most flavor. Our presets reach the ideal temperature for the most robust and flavorful cup every time.

USING THE KETTLE

Before using the kettle:

  1. Plug the power base into an outlet.
  2. Fill the kettle up to the MAX 1.7L line, place it on the power base, and run a heating cycle on BOIL.
  3.  Once the cycle is complete, discard the water and repeat this process one more time.
  • **Plugin the power base. Fill the kettle with the desired amount of water using the water level window as a guide. Close the lid and set the kettle on the power base.
NOTE: ONLY fill with water. DO NOT heat or boil other liquids.
    Did you know?**
Filling the kettle with only the minimum amount of water needed can save both time and energy.

  • Select a preset drink type or use the +/- controls to manually set the temperature from 105°F to 212°F in 5°F increments.
NOTE: To change from Fahrenheit to Celcius, press and hold the HOLD TEMP and + buttons for 5 seconds.
NOTE: DO NOT start a heating cycle when the kettle is empty. If the kettle detects there is not enough water in it, the kettle will shut off and the temperature display will read “dry”. Let the kettle cool for at least 10 minutes before refilling.

  • Press START/STOP once to start the heating cycle. To indicate that the heating cycle has started, the START/STOP button will illuminate orange, the water window will illuminate, and the temperature display will show the current temperature as it climbs. Once the selected temperature has been reached, the kettle will beep and automatically shut off. If Hold Temp is selected, the kettle will continue to hold the temperature for up to 30 minutes.
NOTE: To mute the kettle, press and hold the HOLD TEMP and – buttons for 5 seconds.

Powering off:
The kettle will automatically power off after 5 minutes of inactivity. To manually power off, press and hold the START/STOP button for 3 seconds. To turn on the kettle,
press any button on the control panel or lift the kettle off the base.

HOLD TEMP

The kettle has a Hold Temp feature which holds water at the selected temperature for up to 30 minutes. If not using the water right away, press the HOLD TEMP button before, during, or within 30 seconds of completion of a heating cycle.

NOTE: The Hold Temp will only activate after the water has reached the target temperature. If HOLD TEMP is pressed before a heating cycle, you must first start a heating cycle (refer to steps 2 and 3).

NOTE: If 212°F/BOIL is selected, the temperature will hold at 200°F for up to 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes of holding the temperature at the selected value, the kettle will automatically shut off. If the kettle is removed from the base at any point during the 30 minutes, the kettle will shut off, and Hold Temp will need to be reset.

CLEANING, CARE & STORAGE

CLEANING
Unplug your kettle and allow it to cool before cleaning. Wipe the kettle and power base with a soft, damp cloth. Be sure that the electric socket is kept dry. Dry all parts after every use.

WARNING: Never immerse the kettle or power base in water.

REMOVABLE & WASHABLE SCALE FILTER

The Ninja Kettle features a removable mesh filter inside the spout to block scale from coming out of the kettle when pouring.

This filter should be cleaned regularly with the kettle. To remove the mesh filter, open the lid, then grasp the filter and slide it out by pulling upwards.

For best performance, hand washes under hot water. Replace the filter, which will snap back into place.

DESCALING
The kettle will not work properly if it is not descaled regularly. Regular descaling can increase the life of the kettle, allowing it to boil water faster and with less energy.

Scale is a naturally occurring buildup of mineral deposits caused by impurities in water, especially hard water. For best performance, descale the kettle every 4–8 weeks or whenever scale buildup is present inside.

Descaling can be completed with a descaling agent specifically designed for kettles. Follow the directions on the descaling agent package,

OR

  1. Fill the kettle with equal parts water and white vinegar.
  2. Let’s sit for 30 minutes.
  3. Discard solution and rinse kettle thoroughly with clean water.
  4. Repeat this process until all deposits are removed.

STORAGE
Unplug the power cord from the outlet and allow the kettle to cool completely before storing. Follow cleaning instructions and store in an upright position. The cord wrap under the kettle base can be used for tidy cord storage. Do not store anything on top of your kettle. The kettle may be stored on base when not in use.
