Thank you for purchasing the Macally Bluetooth Keyboard for Mac, iPhone, iPad, PC, Android Smartphones, and Tablets. This keyboard supports up to three Bluetooth devices. One-touch quick switching allows you to type and switch from devices seamlessly. Whether it is doing work with a computer, sending messages on a smartphone, or enjoying videos on a tablet, it is truly the only keyboard that you need for all your applications. This product utilizes thin keycaps with a sensitive and responsive touch which provides a more comfortable and faster typing experience. It is designed with many features and flexibility to help improve your productivity. 7-color backlit keycaps are ideal to use the keyboard in low-light environments.

Hardware Basics

1. Bluetooth device 1 indicator: blue

2. Bluetooth device 2 indicators: blue

3. Bluetooth Device 3 indicator: blue

4. Caps lock indicator: blue Charging indicator: red during charging, and off when full
   Please note: LED will show purple color when both blue and red light is on simultaneously; when the battery level is low, B1, B2, and B3 blue LEDs will blink simultaneously once every 5 seconds to remind you to charge the keyboard using the USB cable.

6. Bluetooth device keys: B1, B2, and B3, pressed with Fn key simultaneously to select a Bluetooth device channel

7. On/Off slide switch, turn on first to use the keyboard
   

8. Use of fn(Fn) key: Select Bluetooth device, and use Function keys, etc.
   1. Press fn with one of Bluetooth device keys, B1, B2, and B3 to select a Bluetooth device to use the keyboard
   2. Press the fn key with a dual-function key to perform F1 to F12, PrtScn, del, enter, home, end, pgup, pgdn, and 4 backlight control keys.

Controlling the backlight

Please pair and connect the Macally Bluetooth keyboard to your device first, then you will be able to use the keyboard and control/adjust the backlight as described below.

| press fn and Y key together to start backlight cycle mode of 7 colors, and press fn and Y key again to turn off the cycle mode of 7 colors.

| when the cycle of 7 colors is off, press fn and U key together to start the single color backlight mode, the first backlight color is white.  You can press the fn and U key repeatedly to choose your preferred backlight color. To turn off the single color backlight, press the fn, and Y key twice.
| in single color backlight mode, there are 3 brightness levels(low, medium, and high) to adjust, press fn and I key together to increase the brightness.
| in single color backlight mode, there are 3 brightness levels(low, medium, and high) to adjust, press the fn and O key together to decrease the brightness.

Power consumption and auto shut-off of backlight: this keyboard has an 800mAh Li-Ion rechargeable battery built-in, which can last a couple of months with a full charge. But backlight consumes the battery power quite fast, that is why the backlight is set to turn off automatically if the keyboard is not typed in 5  minutes, and turn on automatically once typing resumes. To further extend the battery usage time, you probably should turn on the backlight at night or in low-light environments.
Low battery warning: when B1, B2, and B3 LEDs blink simultaneously every five seconds, it reminds you the built-in battery is low, please connect the keyboard to a charger with the included USB cable. You can still use the keyboard during charging.

Important Note:

1. Please wait for BTBLTABKEYSG to be connected before entering your user’s password during computer boot up.
2. The pairing light needs to be on and flashing during the pairing process. If it’s not flashing, press the Pair button again and start all over to pair BTBLTABKEYSG with your device.

Pairing the keyboard with Mac

1. After a Bluetooth device(for Mac) is selected, for example, B1, the first time use, pairing is required. Press the Pair button to set the keyboard in pairing mode, the device LED flashes blue.

2. Please click the Bluetooth icon in your computer’s menu bar located in the upper right corner of your screen. Make sure Bluetooth is turned to On then select  “Open Bluetooth Preferences …” in the drop-down menu.

3. Bluetooth window displays a found Macally Bluetooth keyboard, please click on the “Connect” button next to it.

4. Once pairing is finished, the Bluetooth keyboard shows “Connected” status.

5. When Mac prompts you a message, “The keyboard can not be identified…“ please follow Keyboard Setup Assistant on the screen to identify the keyboard.
   

6. Select the ANSI option, and click on the Done button to finish and close the Keyboard Setup Assistant window. It is ready to use the keyboard in Mac.

Pairing the keyboard with your Windows PC

1. After a Bluetooth device(for Windows PC) is selected, for example, B2, the first time use, pairing is required. Press the Pair button to set the keyboard in pairing mode, the device LED flashes blue.

2. In Windows 10, for example, open the Settings from the Windows menu or by pressing Win and I keys.
   Then click to open the Devices icon.

3. Under Devices, select Bluetooth & other devices. Click on Add Bluetooth and other devices, select Bluetooth to add this keyboard. Make sure the keyboard  Bluetooth device LED is still flashing and discoverable.

4. Once you see the Macally Bluetooth Keyboard appear, double click on it to connect. Windows will notify you when the keyboard is ready to use.

Please note that if you are using a different Windows OS version, the pairing procedures may be different slightly.

Pairing the keyboard with iPad/iPhone

1. After a Bluetooth device(for iPad or iPhone) is selected, for example, B3, the first time use, pairing is required.
   Press the Pair button to set the keyboard in pairing mode, the device LED flashes blue.

2. Bring your iPad or iPhone nearby the keyboard. Open up “setting” then Bluetooth”.

3. Turn on Bluetooth, under the “Bluetooth” menu, it will auto search for the new Bluetooth devices…

4. Once it finds and displays the Macally Bluetooth Keyboard model, select it to pair with Macally Bluetooth Keyboard.

5. After pairing is successfully completed, it will show “Macally Bluetooth Keyboard…. connected”.
   It is ready to be used with your iPad or iPhone.

Pairing the keyboard with your Android Smartphones and Tablets

1. After a Bluetooth device(for Android) is selected, for the first time use, pairing is required.
   Press the Pair button to set the keyboard in pairing mode, the device LED flashes blue.

2. In Android device, open Settings, then open “Connected devices” to find Bluetooth. Touch Bluetooth line to enter Bluetooth screen, make sure the  Bluetooth is turned on, then touch on “Pair new device”, your Android device starts searching for a new device.

3. Make sure the Macally keyboard device LED is still flashing blue(in pairing mode), once you see the Macally Bluetooth Keyboard model appears, select it and it will automatically pair to your Android device. You can see the “Connected” status for the Macally keyboard, then it is ready to use.
