Introduction
The Macally BTERGOKEY is a split ergonomic Bluetooth keyboard, specially
designed for Mac and iOS devices. It has 110 full-size keycaps for a sensitive
and responsive touch. It also has 21 convenient preset shortcut keys for one-
touch control of Mac and iOS device applications and a l 7-key numeric keypad
to quickly and efficiently enter long sequences of numbers.
The split ergonomic design of the BTERGOKEY encourages natural hand, wrist,
and forearm positions. A cushioned palm rest provides support and promotes a
neutral wrist position. With this keyboard, you don’t need to buy and replace
batteries as it has a built-in 500 mAh rechargeable Li-ion battery that lasts

Hardware Basics

Bluetooth device 1 indicator: blue Fn lock: red

Bluetooth device 2 indicators: blue Caps lock: red

Bluetooth Device 3 indicator: blue Light during charging: red – charging; off – full

Bluetooth device keys: B1, B2, and B3, pressed with Fn key simultaneously to select a Bluetooth device channel
Please note: LED will show purple color when both blue and red light are on simultaneously. -
Pairing Keys: Press Fn and P simultaneously
Fn(fn] Key, Fn Lock Mode and Shortcuts
Use of Fn key: Select Bluetooth device, Pair with a device
- Press F n with one of Bluetooth device keys, B 1, B2, and B3 to select a Bluetooth device to use the keyboard
- The first time using a Bluetooth device, pairing is needed. After selecting a device, press Fn and P keys simultaneously, the device LED will flash quickly indicating the keyboard is in pairing mode.
Fn Lock Mode
Press Fn and ESC keys simultaneously to lock in Fn mode, so blue-colored
Function keys are the default when pressed, Fn lock LED is turned on to
indicate the Fn Lock mode.
Shortcut Mode and Keys

Please note, these shortcuts are not universal. Certain shortcuts such as Search, and Home may not work on MacOSX because they are meant to be used on iPad or Phone. On the other hand, some shortcuts may act completely differently on different devices so you should try them out first.
More about mode
In either Shortcut mode or Fn Lock mode, one can also press the Fn key with
one of the top row keys simul taneously to perform the secondary function
without switching mode.
Important Note:
- The keyboard has a built-in energy-saving feature. It goes into sleep mode when not in use for a period of time. Press any key [such as space” key) on your keyboard to wake up again.
- Please wait for BTERGOKEY to be connected before entering your user’s password during computer boot up.
- Pairing light needs to be on and flashing during the pairing process. If it’s not flashing quickly, press Fn and P again and start all over to pair TERGOKEY with your device.
Pairing the keyboard with Mac

After a Bluetooth device[for Mac) is selected by pressing fn and one of number key 1[81], 2(82), or 3[B3] simultaneously, for the first time use, pairing is required. Make sure the keyboard is on and fully charged. Press Fn and P keys s simultaneously to set the keyboard in pairing mode, the device LED flashes to blue quickly.

Please click the Bluetooth icon in your computer’s menu bar located in the upper right corner of your screen. Make sure Bluetooth is turned to On then select Open Bluetooth Preferences. in the drop-down menu.

From the Bluetooth screen, wait for the Macally Bluetooth Keyboard to show up then click on “Pair” or connect” to add it.
NOTE: It may take up to a minute for the device to show up on the screen

Once pairing is completed the Bluetooth keyboard will show “Connected”. If you are having issues connecting, try turning Bluetooth in your Mac off then turn it on and try re-pairing the keyboard again.

When Mac prompts you a message, “The keyboard can not be identified. please follow the Keyboard Setup Assistant guide to identify the keyboard as shown below.

F4 Launchpad Shortcut Setup for Mac

After the keyboard is paired with your Mac, al shortcuts n the keyboard should work automatically except F4 Launchpad, which requires a quick setup before working. Please open System Preferences, click to open Keyboard icon, go to Shortcuts tab. Highlight the first line, Launchpad & Dock in the left pane, make sure or click on Restore Defaults” button to see none in the field of Show Launchpad line to beg n, then check to enable Show Launchpad. When a blank field shows highlighted, from Macally keyboard, type and hold down 3 keys simultaneously, control, shift” and forward slash / 3 key symbols are recorded in the line of “Show Launchpad” as shown below, you may try pressing Fl Launchpad shortcut key now.

When setup is done correctly, by pressing the F4 Launchpad shortcut key you will get the Launchpad screen as below.
Pairing the keyboard with iPad/iPhone

After a Bluetooth device[for iPad or iPhone] is selected by pressing fn and one of number key 1/B1), 2[82) or 3[83] simultaneously, for the first time use, pairing is required. Make sure the keyboard is on and fully charged. Press Fn and P keys simultaneously to set the keyboard in pairing mode, the device LED flashes to blue quickly.

Bring your iPad or iPhone nearby the keyboard. Open upsetting” then Bluetooth”

Turn on Bluetooth, under the “Bluetooth” menu, it will auto search for the new Bluetooth devices…

Once it finds and displays MacallyBluetoothKeyboard or a similar name, selects it to pair with Macally Bluetooth Keyboard.

After pairing is successfully completed, it will show “Macally Bluetooth Keyboard … connected” is ready to be used with your iPad or iPhone.
