Experiencing connectivity issues with your TP-Link AC750 router? Resetting your router can help resolve many common problems, such as slow connections, dropped connections, or difficulty connecting to certain devices. In this post, we’ll guide you through the process of resetting your TP-Link AC750 router to its factory settings.

Step 1: Locate the Reset Button First, ensure your router is powered on. Locate the small reset button on the back of your TP-Link AC750 router. It is usually recessed to prevent accidental presses and might be labeled ‘Reset’ or ‘RST.’

Step 2: Press the Reset Button Using a small, pointy object (such as a paperclip or a pen), press and hold the reset button for about 10 seconds. You’ll notice that the LED lights on the router will start flashing, indicating that the reset process has begun.

Step 3: Release and Wait After holding the button for 10 seconds, release it. The router will now reboot, and the LED lights will flash. This process may take a minute or two. Once the router has rebooted, the LED lights should return to their normal state, indicating that the reset process is complete.

Step 4: Reconfigure Your Router Now that your TP-Link AC750 router has been reset to its factory settings, you’ll need to reconfigure it. Connect to the router’s default Wi-Fi network, which can usually be found on the sticker on the bottom or back of the router. The default network name (SSID) is often “TP-LINK_XXXX,” where “XXXX” represents the last four characters of the router’s MAC address.

Open a web browser and enter the router’s default IP address, which is typically “192.168.0.1” or “192.168.1.1.” You’ll be prompted to enter the default username and password, which are usually “admin” for both fields (case-sensitive). After logging in, you can now reconfigure your router’s settings, such as setting a new Wi-Fi network name and password, as well as any other settings specific to your network requirements.

Step 5: Update Firmware (Optional) It’s a good idea to check for firmware updates after resetting your router. Updated firmware can fix security vulnerabilities and improve router performance. To update the firmware, log into the router’s web interface, navigate to the firmware update section (usually under “System Tools” or “Advanced”), and follow the on-screen instructions.
