Initial Setup for Single Door
*To change the factory default pin code [PIN]:**
- Enter 0000 and * on the keypad.
- Enter the new pin code from 2 to 8 digits plus *, twice.
- Example, 1234 and again 1234.
- The keypad will beep 3x if the pin codes are the same.
If the new pin code is not typed exactly the same, then the keypad will emit a
long error beep.
In this case you will have to restart from Step 1.
To program the keypad to EQ Garage Door Opener or Smart Button™ Receiver,
follow section 6.
To program the keypad to IQ Garage Door Opener, follow section 8.
Initial Setup for Multiple Doors
To enable the multiple-door mode:
- Enter the factory default pin code plus [PIN ]
- Example, 0000*.
- Press [9] then [#] separately and you will hear 2 beeps to confirm you have enabled the Multiple-Door Operating Mode.
- Enter 0000 and * on the keypad.
- Enter the new pin code from 2 to 8 digits plus *, twice.
- Example, 1234 and again 1234.
To program the keypad to EQ Garage Door Opener or Smart Button™ Receiver,
follow section 6.
To program the keypad to IQ Garage Door Opener, follow section 8.
Program Keypad to EQ Garage Door Opener or Smart Button™ Receiver.

Press the “Learn” button on the opener, the yellow LED will flash for 30 seconds.

Within 30 seconds, activate the keypad by entering:

Pin code plus # [PIN #] for single door operation.
Ex. [1234] [#] -
Pin code plus [#] plus [Door No] for multiple door operation. Ex. [1234] [#] [1]

Follow the same steps for programming additional operators to the keypad for
multiple doors.
Example, Door 2 pin: 1234#2, Door 3 pin: 1234#3 and Example, Door 2 pin:
1234#2, Door 3 pin: 1234#3 and Door 4 pin: 1234#4.Door 4 pin: 1234#4.
Program Keypad to IQ Garage Door or Opener
- Press and hold the PROG button on the LCD Wall Console for 10 seconds until the “PROG” icon appears on the display.
- Press the PROG button again until the remote icon appears on the display.
- Activate the keypad transmitter:
a. Example,
[1234] [#] for single door operation OR
[1234] [#] [1] for multiple door operation
If a remote is programmed, the remote icon will stay on.
If additional remote needs to be programmed, press the up button , the remote icon will flash again. You may program additional remotes.
To Change the Keypad Pin Code After Initial Setup
- Enter the old pin code plus [PIN ].
- Example, 1234*.
- Enter the new pin code from 2 to 8 digits plus *, twice.
- Example, 5678 and again 5678.
- Do not press the learn button on the operator. The keypad is already programed to the operator and this step is not required.
- To open and close the door, press the new pin code plus # [PIN #].
- Example, 5678 # for single door.
5678 # 1 for multiple door.
- Example, 5678 # for single door.
To Reset the Pin Code to Factory Default
If you forget your pin code, to reset the pin code:

Remove the battery.

While the battery is out, hold [*] and [#] buttons together.

While holding both buttons put the battery back in.
-
Keep holding both buttons for about 5 seconds until you hear a long beep.
This resets the pin code back to 0000. -
Because the keypad has been reset, follow Sections 3-7 for initial setup and to program the keypad to the operator.
Installing the Garage Door Keypad
- Undo the screw (1) on the bottom side of the keypad (A) and remove the backplate.
- 1.5-volt Alkaline type (AAA(AAA size) battery size) battery required. Please refer required. Please refer to Section 12 on how to insert the battery.
- Insert an AAA battery.
- Mount the backplate (B) with the mounting accessories (2).
- Attach the keypad on the backplate and tighten the screw (1) on the bottom of the keypad.
Replacing the Battery
When the operation range is reduced, or when the backlight LED does not flash during operation, it is time to replace the battery.
- Undo the screw (1) on the backplate of the keypad.
- Pry out the backplate from the keypad.
- Take out the old battery (2) from the keypad.
- Place the new battery (2) in position. Beware of the polarity.
- Close the backplate and re-insert the screw (1).

FAQ
The door opener does not react after I press the button on the keypad transmitter.
A. Ensure you hear 3 beeps from the keypad transmitter after entering–
[Password] [#] OR
[Password] [#] [Door Number] –for multiple door operation. If you don’t hear 3
beeps that means you have entered the incorrect password. Re-enter the
password.
Ensure the keypad transmitter has been programmed to the Smart Button™ or
garage door opener. Refer to Sections 3-8 on how to program a keypad to the
receiver.
